you just about summed up Juve's exit vis-a-vis Milan's...

we played we tried and we got a standing ovation..fans have nothing to be ashamed of...

p.s. I heard ibra and vieira got into a verbal tiff today to the point they had to be seperated.. :pint: Grande Juve

Hopefully they were arguing over who would wear what number on his Real Madrid jersey next season.

Last night on the train ride back at the odd hours of the night I lay awake thinking WHAT if Sheva's goal was not disallowed...what if we had made it 1-0 .. would Barca suddendly gain a second wind or would Milan pull off another miracle...

Whatever I told myself..I have seen bad calls...this was a bad call but I don't think it decided the series...the first game decided the series and the inability of players to put the ball in net when they infact had more opportunities than Barcelona...

Unlike teams such as Bayern, Inter and Juve we can leave the Champions League with our heads up high....one goal in 180 minutes with 40 year old Billy Costacurta playing against the likes of Eto'o, Ronaldinho, Deco and Giuly....Milan refusing to sit back and leaving fan to wonder "do they really care?" Such as Juventini and Interisti went through a few weeks/months ago...our team/players cared, our team played and our team tried....Barcelona did not show themselves to be on another level..
better ball control..sure.
better passing sure....
but in the end they refused to take risks in either match and respected the opposition...they counting their blessings they got that one goal and were not willing to risk it all for another.
Milan would have had to be ON THEIR GAME to beat Barcelona...not like the Lyon match..Milan were the better team against Lyon that got caught off guard and mounted their comeback. Against Barcelona we needed things we didn't have: the old Pirlo who plays with confidence and in form....a consistent Maldini and not one ridden with injury....a bench made up of Ambrosini..
These are not excuses..these are things we needed to beat Barcelona because in the end it COULD have been accomplished but 'things' needed to go right/align and they simply did not..
Kaka and Sheva never found their game last night.
Inzaghi was meant to play the first game when opportunities were plenitful and Gila who can play the ball much better shoudl have played in this game..
it didn't align .. it wasn't meant to be...

there is a reason this team is considered a pillar of the CL tournament...3 semifinals in the last 4 years speaks volumes..the CL does not allow you to rely on ties .. the CL does not allow you to have an off game...you must be on your game in STEP up in every game...
We have had some embarrasing exits and then some....
this season is a proud exit .... maybe thats the reason CAMP NOU gave Milan a standing ovation at the end because we played football something the other italian teams failed to do.

You actually have all the right to keep your head up and just like Galliani said atleast Milan didn't let the Italian football down. That said that Milan didn't give it all to deserve to be in Paris.

I have to disagree here with you, Juventus can't be compared to the likes of Inter or Bayern, the team we lost last year to won the Champions League and the team that knocked us out this year are already packing their stuff to go to Paris. It's true Juventus didn't deserve to qualify to the last 8 but It's actually an Insult to compare Juve to the likes of Inter and Bayern.

Anyhow It seems another trophy-less year for your team, hopefully your team can keep on concentrating on the Champions League each year and exit with "free hands"...

Hard Luck, Nick.

Rab, I meant that they both could move to Madrid and they were fighting over their number or perhaps a preferred seat on the airplane.
TBH, I would not like the Idea of letting Pat leaving...I still believe he can make it back just like he did in his first 2 or 3months with the Club. on the other hand I can't wait to see Capello leaving and pushing Ibra with him. This would re-put Juve back on their Feet. But anyhow It's not like I'm gonna be crying If Pat will be leaving, I just prefer to keep him for another season and to have a decent coach who can probably know when to bench him and don't let the likes of Appiah/Maresca/Tacchi to leave.

I have to side with Nick on this one. From a post yesterday:
http://www.juventuz.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1034191#post1034191

I don't think there was shame in Juve getting eliminated this season. It was how they got eliminated that is what has every juventino wearing paper bags over their heads and calling for Capello's decapitation.

Meet Smiling Pado. He took his enzyte piils and now has a big sense of confidence, a generous swelling of pride, and a gigantic cock coiled around his hips and tucked into his unders.
Pado, it's time to turn off Comedy Central and get back to shoe fapping...

Nick: I agree - Milan were better than Juve in the CL this season.

    You happy now?

Now sit back and watch us clinch our 29th Scudetto
I already congratulated Juve on the 29th Scudetto long ago...and I will say it again: CONGRATS ON YOUR 29TH SCUDETTO

    JUVE CAMPIONE D'ITALIA 2006 ....

    Auguri.

Hard luck indeed but what doesn't KILL YA only makes you stronger...there is a reason we are and continue to be the team that is most present in the CL..and we shall continue to be...form is temporary..class is permanent.
Sure the empty handed case is a bitter pill to swallow because we have had incredible teams that lost it all in one-two games...teams that entertained, teams that played with heart and teams that made Europe stop saying the word "catenaccio" to Italians.

You cannot begin to compare Juve's CL campaign to Milan's...Juve didn't FIGHT..didn't play and like most in Europe presume...the ITALIAN ARROGANCE got the best of them
Eliminated by Liverpool without so much as a goal...
Squeked by Werder on a horrible error and gave NOTHING absolutely NOTHING against Arsenal..
its one thing losing to the Champions or a team with momentum..its another thing just being another statistic year after year when you claim to be the best Italy has to offer....

There comes a point when the criticism on the Italian game from the rest of Europe begins to ring true all thanks to Juve's CL campaigns
