BTW Andy, you keep talking about how Dudek cheated, and how rules should be strictly reinforced, yet you say nothing about Nesta coming into the box to early on Xabi Alonso's penalty, and not only him. If he had gotten to the ball and it wasnt a goal, do you really think the ref would have ordered it to be retaken?
Oh please. I didn't even notice Nesta coming into the box too early as my eyes were focused on Xabi Alonso putting the ball away. That's such a trivial matter Zlatan, but yes if that happened he should have called it back. This doesn't really matter in the scheme of things.

If I'm not mistaken, I recall a Sheva would-be goal in the 2003 CL final that was waved off on the grounds of goalie visibility obstruction. But in yesterday's second Pool goal, it was a judgement call -- but I didn't see anything blatantly wrong in the call that was made from the replays as some of you had.
Nick is saying that the Lines-man raised his flag on the Second goal, So why would the Ref take such a stupid Decision when you got another ref who can see the Action in a better way.

I still think the 2nd goal was a JOKE.

We have never liked each other. That just wasn't the right time to annoy him further. It's a shame though and although embarassing for me, he did nothing when I was face to face with him, waited until I turned around before slamming me. Coward.

Though he really got me, I'm in so much pain I can't even have revenge. Bastard! :D
Oh right, I forgot that you knew the guy from before.

I guess so, and If I couldn't as I said I'll make sure he wont be having a good life, anyhow I don't know how is it there in England, But here in Romania, these things can never happen to me.(not showing off), Too many Relations you know:angel:
I don't desire to have connections with human scum, nor have someone defend me. This isn't TV and yes that could have happened to you, that could happen to annoy at any time. Unless your 'contacts' come watch you while you take a piss :howler:

What about Nestas challenge just before the Milan goal? No problems with that at all? See we could do this all day. You are just being biased as always. God forbid you actually had to credit an English team.

Though I understand your frustration, must REALLY suck to support Juve and Italian football in an EPL filled life where Liverpool single handedly whipped their ass with Italian soccer. I feel sorry for you infact, a great deal :D

Yep. It is embarassing though really, he is smaller than me and could never win and also it took a girl to save my ass. I also will let it slide, not going to 'get him'. There went the end of me being a real man :D

No I get what you meant. And it is funny to me. It's funny how people think it is cool to be connected. I don't think so but then again I never was a fan of the Godfather. And shes not my girlfriend. I cant get her and now she isnt speaking to me so I guess I can still go outside.

++ [ originally posted by IncuboRossonero ] ++Here is what you DID NOT see on T.V.:

- Second Goal: that long shot which surprisingly Dida missed. Why did Dida miss it? Simple he did not see the shot right. Why did he not see the shot because Milan Baros and another Liverpool player (who I forget) were both a FOOT offside when the shot was taken and interfering leading Dida to believe they would deflect the shot and hinder his view: THIS IS BEING PART OF THE PLAY…This DOES NOT fall under the offside exemption: both players were very much involved in the action. In fact, watching the replay today you will notice that Baros purposely moved his hand out of the way at last minute so as to cover Dida…this is PASSIVELY OFFSIDE?
BULL FUKIN SHITE

When that goal was scored many of us were actually relieved ..

WHY?

BECAUSE THE FUKIN OFFSIDE FLAG WAS UP!!!!!!!!!!! And the ref choose NOT to consider the linesman and called it a goal. Unbelievable.

Then the third goal…people suggest that Gerrard would not dive as he had a clear shot…CLEAR SHOT MY ITALIAN ARSE.
Before he even lined up the shot he had Cafu inches to his left and Stam a foot to his right..he would have barely had time to LINE up the shot before Cafu slid into the ball or Dida stopped any possible Angle. Gattuso was accused of pulling his shirt but Gerrard’s legs gave out.
No excuse for that call…PERIOD. You don’t make a call like that in a CL Final unless you are absolutely certain. I respect Gerrard very much but like many players I respect (such as Zambrotta) he realized he would not have enough time to line up the shot and choose to fall because he was touched.
The momentum..the comeback..the crowd....all got to the official who made an irrational call.
That's pretty much spot on, exactly what I saw as well. I was not sure if Baros was in an offside position when Smicer took that shot, however the goal should have never happened anyway because the ref should have blown the play dead after seeing his linesman's flag up a couple moves before the goal. But indeed the ref seemed to get caught up in the "hype" of the match and handed Liverpool a few favors. What can you do except play on.

I disgree with Shadowfax with his notion that Liverpool deserved to win just because they fought back from 3-0 down and beat a handful of other great teams to reach Istanbul. Please we are talking about this one match in which Milan had the better run of play for an entire half and was undone in 10 minutes of absolute madness. Milan's overall performance was superior to Liverpool's, including through extratime in which the Reds were very lucky to keep the ball out of their own net. And with the decisions made by the referee you must say Milan was hard-done by.

But overall it was a fantastic match, one of the best since the Czech-Holland match from Euro 2004.

Jaecole, with all due respect please ignore my posts if you have nothing better to say to me besides absolute rubbish and trivial matter that has anything to do with Emma or your life. Please do not try to engage me in any of this nonsense anymore because I won't respond, you'll be wasting your time.

No need to comment on this, thanks in advance.

I think your looking at it a little biased Andy. Given our history of disliking the hype around the Epl, i think Im going to have to say Liverpool were the deserved winners on the night. They made it count when it mattered most. Sure Milan played some good football in the first half, but i think its only them to blame at the end of the day. When you have Stam, Maldini, Nesta and Cafu on your backline with 3 goals to the good. I dont care how bad the referee is on the night, you ought to preserve that lead, or you dont deserve to win. Speaking of penalties, as we all know, the dance and shake has been done before. And if Dudek could do it, nobody stopped Dida from doing so either. The fact is Liverpool wanted it more than Milan, and probably deserved it more as well, seeing thier overall performance in the Champions League this season.
Once again the latter sentence of your post has no bearing in my opinion. We are talking about this match alone, no others. I can't say Liverpool deserved it more than Milan because the latter sure gave us a performance in the first half while Liverpool were indeed better in the second 45 but not as convincing as Milan through the duration of the entire game. I do agree that Liverpool's fightback was amazing and Milan should have done better, but as a neutral you must notice the decisions that changed the game; they were there for all to see. And to say that Liverpool absolutely deserved the trophy more than Milan is a fallacy; just look at the way Milan played throughout the duration of the match and tell me did Liverpool play better? IMO Liverpool played better than Milan for 10 minutes. Does Liverpool 'deserve' the CL trophy? All things considered yes they do.
