    Well..... good luck against Chelsea.
That final fixture was my prediction all season. In fact, I've predicted a Chelsea-Milan final for 2005 as soon as Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003.
Well to be honest I would have preferred meeting Inter in the Semi's and Juve in the final ...if anything for the sake of Italian football..another 3 out of 4 teams in the Final four from Italy.
That said, if Milan does make the final I hope it is Chelsea so that Mourinho can be brought back down to Reality.

Yeah, I wanted another Juve-Milan final.. oh well..

About brining Mourinho down to earth. Wouldn't it be sweeter if an English team (Liverpool) knocked Chelsea out?! :D

BTW, while I think Milan has the best team, I predict that Chelsea will it.

The biggest joke of the night is Capello's post match comments.

Liverpool are a tough side, and we gave all we can
I thought that was a very admirable thing to say. Specially knowing that Capello is hot-headed. kudos to him.

Look from a liverpool fan's POV. They really were solid and very organized.

My only complaint is that we were playing an English style (or actually, a slow and less phisycal English style) of play againt an EPL team with an obvious height advantage. That annoyed me a lot. What annoyed me more was reading our line-up and not finding quality players who could give us more attacking style options (given that we had to watch out for counter attacks).

Sad occasion this. I cannot stand Milan because all their fans become douchebags when they are close to the CL title, even becoming less humble when they win it. I also cannot stand these nouvo riche Chelsea fans who will most likely be plying for the title for the next five years at least.

Go Liverpool and PSV. Those are the real teams.

Look on the bright side... your problem with Milan and Chelsea now has you supporting Liverpool, an English team!

    That's a new for you...

Why tried to beat an English side at their own game: KICKBALL. Liverpool faces that nonsense every single match in England so of course they are going to be ready for it. This is what happens when you lack creativity in the midfield and rely on "un-natural playermakers" to get the job done. We need new players.

PS- All the winners of the Champions League for as long as I can remember had a natural playmaker in their side.

I'll never support an English team Majed. Personally I am going to cheer for PSV, of course partly because Beasley is on that great side.

    Forza PSV Eindhoven

Exactly why I thought Capello's comments funny, we played an English style football but less physical and he dared say we gave all we can.

Saying that Liverpool were a tough team, true but applies only for this evening, but the other comments...puhh leeeezzz

Winning the CL needs a solid organized defence (Milan, Juventus, Chelsea), a creative midfield with a playmaker (Milan, Chelsea, Barcelona) and depth (Milan)

Yes obviously. I'm just making the point that natural playmakers are basically required to win the Champions League. We have not ideas at all in attack.
Nedved was supposed to be that speciall element for us in this game. However, Nedved hasn't only been sidelined for a long time, but also, he has rarely(if at all) played in that free role under Capello (Lippi's system was better suited for Nedved).

Bes said something interesting, he said that after Capello was successful in creating some decent team play without a play maker, he changed back to a team with a playmaker who has been suffering injuries for 45 days

Not at all. European matchups can be won without a playmaker and often are. Hard work and solid play is much more important in Europe that depending on a playmaker imo.

As sad is that may sound, but Capello was, in a way forced, to change given that Zebina was out! :wallbang:
Birindelli didn't show good signs against Fiorentina, and Pessotto couldn't last 90 minutes in that fullback position.
