NICK: How many years was Capello at Milan prior to them doing the double?
    Whats your point Andy?

He lost us games in which we should have won..we had the team..we had the players but he decided to keep them on the bench.... he made decisions based on personal relationships which cost us MANY cups.
LIke I said, he is a wizard for his 'scheme' or vision in a long drawn out Serie A championship but totally at a loss when it comes to winning BIG games in the CL.

    Before I forget....

TODAYS TOPIC: WHY MATERAZZI IS A LYING PIECE OF POND SCUM.

The incident everyone is whispering about occured at 2:14 of the first half..the supposed HEAD BUT.

At 2:00 of the first half Shevchenko ran to Inter's end to get a loose ball...Matrix slips chasing Sheva but it didn't matter. The ball was out and a Milan player touched it last....

As Matrix and Sheva jog back from the line...we see OUT OF ACTION Sheva pass Matrix....Matrix literally THROWS himself on the floor. From far it looks like he was pushed. Tonight I saw an extreme close up of this first incident: SHEVA DID NOT EVEN TOUCH HIM. In fact, Sheva was probably a foot AWAY from Matrix but from the linesman's angle they looked to be closer so Matrix threw himself on the ground as Sheva jogged past him to get a call. THere was no call. No one bought it.
    This occured at 2:07.

At 2:14 Matrix is once again next to Sheva..CHARGES HIM and is getting in his face. Sheva stands his ground. In doing so he also slightly charges towards Matrix. The second Sheva gets close Matrix throws himself down on the ground to imply a headbutt occured. Guess what the reply showed. Matrix was grazed at best and HE CHARGED INTO SHEVA.

Materazzi was trying to get a call .. he tried it 7 seconds earlier and did it again. The sheer dramatization of his falls clearly concludes one thing:
HE IS FULL OF SH*T and so was the supposed headbutt.

    I don't have a point Nick. I was simply asking a question.

How many years was Capello at Milan before he won you the double?
oh .... 2 years. Arrived in 92. Lost the 93 final to Marseille. Should have won.
Then beat Barca in 94 in Athens and won the Scudetto as well.

I thought you were implying something...with a question you knew the answer to.

Well, obviously I didn't because I thought Capello was at Milan for three seasons prior.

even if sheva head butted this guy i cant blame him
NO..if he did he is to blame. No matter how dirty Materazzi is/was you can't let that slide. Two wrongs don't make a right. However, Matrix was looking for a call.

Well if you put it that way, two Finals in three years is not a very bad record. However with that Milan squad compared to this Juventus, you can see a world of difference.

No. He cannot be blamed for this failure as much as he can be for Milan's failures under his helm in the CL. That said, as a coach he should have pressed management for better players and better solutions this season. Cannavaro and Emerson were great buys but getting rid of players like Maresca, Miccoli and Divaio was unjustified. A team needs depth and a team needs options. Juve ran out of those options.
I mostly agree, though we all know that Moggi is no pushover (nice way of saying that he's cheap) and the club doesn't exactly have a Moratti or an Abramovich. Moreover, Juve were in the red last season.

Therefore, I don't blame Capello at all, unless of course he had a hand in getting rid of Maresca, Miccoli, DV, OR **TUDOR**. I know the latter underperformed (specially by his pre-injuries standards of 2000 and 2001), but he is still better than Montero.

makes you wonder about tudor doesnt it
loaning Tudor, Miccoli, DV, and Maresca were terrible ideas. I knew it will bite us in the ass later on.

In defense, we lost a lot of inches with Ferrara, Iuliano, Legro and Tudor gone.
In attack, we lost the penetrating speed of Di Vaio and Miccoli.
In midfield, we lost Maresca who has proved last season that he is better than Appiah and is a worthy extra tool when our midfield runs out of ideas.

You know that the team is thin when Pessotto plays holding mid, Camo plays centeral mid, Olivera plays wing in a 5 man mid, Montero is a starter, Nedved is a playmaker (I don't call it freerole since nothing about it is free) in a crowded midfield, and Zlatan is the striker (In my book, he can never be a striker because his finishing is poor, and his sense of positioning is shameful).

What bothers me most about the our last transfer campaign is that Moggi reshuffled the attack which was already complete last season, instead of ONLY and completely fixing our weakspots (defense and attacking mid).

I crossed my fingures hoping that the season would end before we ran out of options and gas....so much for that.

Andy already mentioned this, but I say kudos to Capello for brining out what he could from the lineup and getting this far. Camo has had a good season, and our defense is solid (though thin) for the moment at least.

I am for PSV the rest of this CL.

I'd really be peeved if Milan stretch their CL recored.

I'd really be peeved if Chel$ki prove that money does indeed buy everything.

I don't mind Liverpool, but if they won it, that'll be bad for Everton, and I'd like to see a new English club in the CL at last...

    So, FORZA PSV.

Its because english people are all so similar. We are not as diverse as american where you have alot of different types of people together bouncing off each other. In england we are just all the same what with our tea and umbrellas and stuff.

He and loads of people also think im claire and river. The english humour is mostly missed on this forum, they arent really used to the crap that it is so they think its just the same one loser doing it. Tom is exactly the same, though he usually keeps it formal and keeps a straight face around here when he drops his guard and becomes himself he is exactly like the rest of us.

Shadowfax would probably be the same too only that dude has no time for any shit :D

This was an uneducated way of trying to explain something important :D

I wont end this with a quip or Andy will think im you and tom is me and shadowfax is tom.

Yup, the british humour is definitely an "aquired" taste, it isnt "cultured" enough for some people, although "cultured" to me basically means boring.

This is the last thing I'll say about the flares, I would so of loved what happened at the San Siro to of happened in England, I remember when a Man Utd threw a flare on the pitch when we beat Southampton in the FA Cup, it was almost like someone was murdered...the papers and the commentators went nuts, I think the guy got a ban for life in England & Wales!!
