OK, you bunch of Shoe Wankers can stop the hockey talk now.

Did anybody hear how how less than an inch of snow completely paralyzed the city of Raleigh yesterday? One million people stranded on the roads because of the sheer number of vehicles caused such gridlock nobody could move. After 4 hours, I parked the car and walked the last couple of miles. That move saved me 8 hours of being stuck in traffic.

Crazy shit.

Wow, you sure have very adept drivers down there in NC. Just wait till the weekend; the first major snowstorm is supposed to hit the East Coast. Well, it will probably be freezing rain for you. What a shame. :D

I drove home from school yesterday in two inches of snow on the ground in my Passat. I concluded that I rather have my car than these idiots in pickups who have no clue how to drive a manual truck in the snow.

Andy, it was so retarded. The snow was not really the problem. At first, the roads were icy and nobody here knows how to drive in ice and snow, so the trucks were all sliding off the road. My car sucks in snow but I was able to make it up the hills and out of the danger zone. Then I hit Wake Forest Road - the world's largest parking lot. My secretary left work at 3:30 heading in the same direction as me, and got home at midnight. Normally, it's a 20 minute drive.

I remember when I was in Bocksta - Yankland during blizzard 95. The airport was closed for 3 days and we were stuck in the house for 2. And they were actually used to heavy snows up there : on the other hand NYC and especially Washington were paralyzed.

So Pado, Raleigh counts 1 million ppl? I thought it was actually some sort of American Padova, population-wise.

Problem is that Raleigh considers farm animals as individuals when putting together a census. Pado on the other hand considers his shoes as people..so by his rationale he has his family and 45 others living in his house. Oh yeah and a soon to be 'house guest' crashing on the sofa

P.S. Stop the hockey talk....the season is over...deal with it...lets not be a bunch of Canadian Ass Cracks

Well, my ass fungus-stricken friend, the metropolitan area of Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill has approximately 1.3 million people ( that number increases dramatically, Nick, when we add in the farm animals and shoes), so much larger than my beloved Padova (unless we're talking about Padova on the feast of Saint Anthony). At 1:00 pm, the school system panicked and announced it was closing all the schools, so parents everywhere had to leave work putting a million people on the road at the same time. Nothing was moving, some children arrived home by 4:00 am, but most spent the night in the schools.

My Sofia made it home :D
