Considering I've lived on almost every continent, I think I'm right when I say that Jordan is far more popular than Beckham.
I gotta side with meu irmão portuguese here. Everybody may know what it means to Moisturize It Like Beckham, but Jordan is the king. Not only is he recognized the world over, he's worshipped. And that ain't just no Chicago Bullshit.

The fact that you lived on every continent doesn't exactly matter, but hey what the hell. Football is ten-fold the sport basketball is and the ratio of fans between the sports is quite staggering, so I just find it odd that more people know and care about Jordan. Does Jordan really have billions of fans?
I can't stand basketball either. But the size of the sport doesn't make the size of the man, Andy. Worldwide, I would argue that Ronaldinho is recognized far more then Beckham these days. Becks is just particularly popular in Anglo countries.

@ Andy - further proof that Lalas is dumber than Ahmed's loaded asshole.
Ever since a dozen years ago when I was accosted by wild and crazy romanisti who wanted to take me to the funky discoteca and told me I looked just like Alexi Lalas, I am glad I have since grown old, fat, paunchy, and bald.

No wait, that's what Alexi is starting to look like these days. Damn!!! :(

more like a "boca" gloryhole..wow the double entendre killah!
 Oh, that's good.

One of my wife's friends once relayed to me the story of she and her husband in Buenos Aires one day when the blue/gold and red/whites suddenly filled the streets and did battle. It took me about an hour to explain it to her.

No seriously, where the hell did you get that picture? :eyebrows:

I didn't realize that Belgium has barely any blond haired people. Watching the U21 squad yesterday...they were all dark haired and they weren't really white like the Dutch. Also, some of the players had Spanish and Arab last names.

Belgium was controlled by Spaniards for a while. There are also a lot of Italian immigrants and well, half the country speaks French. So no, we're not "really white like the Dutch".

But to the Dutch have Spanish last names too?

and I hate to say "white" because I don't know the name you guys use. See, in Sweden we have words for the Swedes, we call them "Svennar" (comes from the Swedish word for Sweden, Sverige) and they in return call us "svartskallar" (blackheads) or "blattar" (the equivalent of nigger's I guess) :D

Gotta love transfer season. This is the time of the year where idiocy flows boundless from fingertips and ridiculous formations are plastered all over forums where even Inktomi observes and laughs. People asking questions such as, is Nocerino as good as Balzaretti, or is Tiago good enough for Juve? Others making statements such as we should waste Nocerino and buy another defensive midfielder, or somebody placing Nedved as a wingback in their retarded formation that has Chiellini playing right-central-back. Another person seeing a video of Pessotto, Tiago and Almiron and asking who Tiago is...

Ahh, can't go wrong with transfer season.

Andrew, Queens Bridge has sparked some of the greates Hip-Hop, NaS, Mobb Deep, blah blah, but if that really is your location, you would last longer in a God damned atom bomb explosion.

They eat whiteys like you for lunch and shit Hectors for dinner.
Sorry dude but I wouldn't put Mobb Sleep on the same level as NaS. They make decent "In Da Club" music but I've always considered them second rate. I think my sentiment was confirmed last year when they released that terrible collaboration with 50 Cent. Speaking of 50 Cent fuck Vitamin Water.

Tiago Mendes and Almiron baby. :weee:

But look on the bright side, with that midfield of yours you'll have success for the next decade. Just play that bozo Crouch or Forlan up top alone.
We made a bid for Mancini today, something like 18 mil. So at least they are trying. The funny thing is that our club record for transfers is only 14 mil. Fuck us.

Hey Greg, is anyone showing the Italy v Portugal game today?
:( Nowhere to be found -- at least from what I could find. I guess everyone must be thinking "Hey, it's just the Olympics". But that's a dream match for me between two of my favorite NTs.

Daddy, when I grow up, I want to be a scientologist.

Interestingly enough, I remember watching WC2002 and commenting just the opposite about Japan: they mustn't have many dark-haired people. :pumpkin:

Mancini would cost more than 25 million probably despite me not being sure if he's really worth it. Rosella Sensi will only give him away for some ridiculous amount, which is probably understandable.
