Rose Bowl

Usc vs. Northwestern. Back when Northwestern was ranked #3 in the country, I went to that Rose Bowl game, and I will tell you this. in a 100,000 seat stadium, there were NO LESS than 65,000 Northwestern fans at that game.

The Rose Bowl is enemy territory for USC, regardless if it is in California. You wouldn't know unless you've been there. Nearly every fan who gets a ticket for the Rose Bowl game that doesn't support USC or their opponent is almost always Anti- USC.

Yeah, tell that to the Rose Bowl filled with a sea of red right now.

we need some extra revenue here in Buffalo, and since our stadium has been hardly used after Dec 20 in the past 9 years, I propose that they switch the Rose Bowl to Buffalo, get Dairy Queen as the main sponsor, and rename it the DAIRY QUEEN BLIZZARD BOWL !!!:eyebrows:

No more worries about home field avantages, this is a pretty neutral spot

The cold ?? no worries there either...once the kids get tanked up in the parking lot before the game, they wont know if its 60 degrees or minus 60

btw- we havent had any real snow since October, and its 50 degrees here today, even warmer than in was in Texas, for the Cotton Bowl today

Okay so during El Niño years we will have the Bowl games in the Northeast and during La Niña years we´ll hold them in the West. Sounds a little more fair than this nonsense we have at the moment.

At least my school won today against Tennessee, another overrated SEC school. Congrats to the defensive monster in my avatar before he goes in the first round of the NFL draft and Morelli for finally having a game worth talking about and not throwing multiple interceptions.

Apparently Clint Dempsey is on the verge of signing for Fulham as long as he can receive a work permit. Not a bad place for perhaps our top youngster and he will have a couple compatriots in Bocanegra and Mcbride to help lead him along. Although I'm worried he will not get much playing time because of Routledge and Boa Morte in the ranks... although he could toss out the former easily.

Yeah, some Canadian left back by the name of David Edgar scored for Newcastle to tie 2-2 against Manchester United.

EDIT: Maybe Dan Edgar...not 100% sure

I can't believe that Andy is again pissing about Michigan. Whaaa. The crooks made USC build a campus in Southern California just to screw Michigan. Whaaaa, Whaaaa.

Michigan is over-rated shit and has always been. Like I told you a few months ago, they always beat the Indianas and Minnesotas (teams they should beat) and always lose to the really decent teams. Michigan are so fooking predictable that they just paid for all of my Christmas expenses. Thanks Lloyd Carr. I gave 3 ponts and still covered. :greed: :greed: :greed:

College football is such a fucking joke. How USC basically gets to play a home game every single Rose Bowl is ridiculous. Fuck USC bunch of wankers.
UMMMM, ROSE Bowl......

What is the geographical position of that bowl...?

USC beat a terrible Michigan, overrated and underscored.

Should have been closer, but USC has MUCH MUCH better coaching, and that always makes a difference.

Jog on, son....

Where did I say I wanted Michigan to play "at home" for a bowl game? I never said that... that would be stupid and defeat my own point in the first place.

All I'm asking for is neutral terrirtory instead of the winner of the Pac 10 and the Big 10 always playing in the Pac 10 garbage land. It's fucking stupid, but yeah go ahead and give USC a home game every single time they win their conference.

PAC10 is TOUGH, the top leagues this year are: SEC, BIG EAST, PAC 10, Big 10(11) [joke]

Look, WVU played against Georgia last year in the GEORGIA DOME and was not only a long shot, But was outnumbered fan-wise 3 to1, and you know what? WE WON, so don't give me this home field BULLSHIT and talk about how the game always goes with the "home" team, because you know what? If you knew anything about College Football and what the hell was going on, you would know that no matter WHAT bowl and WHERE it is played, no less than 33% of the tickets go to sposors.

So if you want Michigan to win big or win at all, ask Lloyd to get some guys to inject money into the program that are near Michigan and not near LA, Miami, NY or even Toronto, dog.

You should lobby. I hear Lord Arnold of California is quite the environment-freak, you could start with him.

You mean campaign contributions?
Of course.

In other news:

"With the entry of Bulgaria and Romania, the European Union leaves the US further behind and continues to be the world's largest economy with almost half a billion consumers and a gross domestic product totalling to around 31% of global GDP compared to 28% for the United States of America."

That's very interesting. Now if we could only find a way to reorganise the political ruins of Brussels and yield some diplomatic power to accompany that impressive economic force.

Nice to see the lands now stretch from the Atlantic Coast to the Black Sea, Putin is slowly getting nervous.

The Swiss are starting to look just plain silly now :D

Was browsing a list of people who died the past year, check out this part:

September 2 - Bob Mathias, Olympic decathlete and U.S. Congressman (1967-1975), age 75

September 4 - Steve Irwin, Enviromentalist known as the "Croc Hunter," age 44

September 13 - Ann Richards, former Governor of Texas (1991 to 1995), age 73
Steve Irwin, Enviromentalist? The dude died because he managed to annoy the world's friendliest fish to a point where it pulled the trigger. Not very environmentalistic, is it?

Just imagine this cute little fish swimming through the ocean, singing 'a la-la-la-la-long, a la-la-la-la-long long-li-long long long', suddenly some jackass is trying to strangle it. I would sting too.
