The french speaking national TV RTBF stopped it's programs of yesterday evening to reveal shocking news: Flanders had declared it's independence.
Known politicians were interviewed, live reporters were on the key places in the capital,... everything looked real.
After half an hour, a message appeared at the bottom "this is a fiction".
but the harm was already done. People went to the royal palace to show their support for the king (who supposedly left the country), the ministery of internal affairs was spoiled with phone calls, and even foreign channels reported the news as true (CNBC).
