@ Burke: :pint: You have not been able to top your first video..that was the Bastian Schweinsteiger DRAFT the other two were only Oliver Kahn Lite's.

@ PADO, VIN and SERGIO: 1982 :touched:

@ Libero...kind of a Brokeback meets The Crying Game meets Memento type of video you posted.
I'll never forget the 1982 final:cry:

also wont forget the '94 one as well

this could be the most memorable though...with the internet and satellite tv, information as to whats going on in Germany (and not having to rely on the local new's 8 seconds of highlights:tdown: ) is right at our fingertips...its fucking amazing !!

not to mention that if Italy win, I'll be celebrating with at least 100,000 fellow Italians in the streets of Little Italy in Toronto...knowing that I may never have this chance again in my lifetime, I will party hard !!!!:agree: :D :pint: :pint:

I would not go that far.
Reminds me of Samuel Beckett.

When he was once having a walk with one of his friends on a splendid sunny day, his friend told him: "These are the days that make you want to live.".

Beckett turned to him and said: "I wouldn't go that far."

Oh wow, I was 13 years old when they won the cup. I remember my father lifting me up and hugging me, and inadvertently crashing my noiggin through the ceiling, he was so happy.

I was thrilled too, when I finally came to

I do remember a certain goal celebration however, as noted in my avatar. It still gives me chills whenever I remember it.

the sheer raw emotion on the face of marco tardelli is, for me, the greatest goal celebration that the world has ever seen. none of the rehersed goal celebrations come close to the look in the mans face as he wheels away from goal, screaming and thinking "my god, my god, i have scored in the world cup final"

Tardelli's goal celebration is one of my favorites as well but I have to say that Grosso's sheer joy and happiness after his goal and immediate tears was magical....
and may be the 2006 version of Tardelli's celebration :pint:

I still can't believe we are in the final

When I saw it, I immediately had to think of Tardelli. You think he was trying to imitate it, or do his own version anyway?

Maybe...but Tardelli had more BITE and RAGE in his celebration...Grosso was muhc more emotional but yes the head shake at the end was veryyyyyyyyy Tardelli.

I still maintain that the most original post goal celebration was Gila's violin playing :pint:

Awesome, yes. Also, I know Italy won and the Germany match was great partly *because* Grosso only scored in the 119th minute, but it would've been GREAT to have seen that Gilardino ball sneak in goal between Jensman and the post.

Original? Maybe. But certainly not as memorable as Grosso's. He though was like I said in some other thread 'total Tardelli.' Whatever, that had to be the highest point of emotion that I've felt since Baggio's equalizer against Nigeria in 94. And maybe to some extent Del Vecchio's goal in the Euro. Simply unbelievable. But anything less than the cup now, will be crushing. This just has to be it.

I dont know what I'm going to do if the Azzuri win. Throwing a party would be rational enough, since people know that the Italian football team is one of my rare passions. But I'm thinking of throwing on my jersey (which I havent washed since the first game - superstition is perhaps the only explanation). And taking the flag out and waving it on the streets.
