It will be interesting to see who Pekerman decides to field in the next round, as Messi, Tevez, and Saviola have all played rather well. If I was in his spot Messi would be starting no matter what along with Crespo, but then again who knows what Pekerman will decide after leaving out Zanetti. The football they're playing now is absolutely stunning but we shall see how they face against world class opposition.
I'd start Crespo and Messi as well. Possibly Tevez and Crespo. Saviola was okay today, but his performance was clearly lesser than Messi's and Tevez's.

Analyst on German TV:

"This is not the Holland I know. The Holland I know, the Holland of old, would always play on. Continue their fluent play. They never resorted to defending. Sure they would lose, but they played nice. I don't like them anymore"

I never liked teams that bought their way into the 2nd round.

This was complete and utter robbery. A disgrace that has made it all the more clear that this WC, just like any other competition of probably the last five years, is a scam.

Three clear cut penalties FFS. Bouhlarouz can do whatever he want to Aruna Dindane, all the referee will do is threaten Aruna with a yellow. And how on earth do you manage not to give a penalty for what Van Bommel did to Eboué? Insane.

Van Basten hasn't aged a day since 1988, has he? It's incredible..!

We've been over this. Where you see conspiracy theories, I see human mistakes.

We played like crap, we got lucky, we scraped through. Usually we're on the bad side of luck, if we weren't, we'd have won two, possibly three World Cup titles in the past.

That's just not likely. If you look at every game individually you notice that the most lucrative team wins. This WC is really disgusting. Human errors in Germany-Poland, Sweden-T&T, Spain-Ukraine and Holland-Ivory Coast that all just happened to go in favour of the most liked teams? Oh come on.

yeah seriously, that's what i think as well Andries
there are lots of contreversial calls definitely and some fouls that were'nt given
but i'm pretty sure those are human errors
there are certain call which was right on target and the referees are definitiely fair

i mean for example, the Robben's dive in the penalty box.........
it could have gone either ways......
some would judge it as a dive and some would award the penalty
seeing that its Robben, i'm still not too sure what was the rightful decision the referee should have made
but i still presume it was a good call by the referee

these officials are specially selected for this WC occasion
and they are supposed to be the best
i have faith in them
there are times when my team lost and i blame it on all the bad calls
but when i chilled and look back i realise it aint as bad as i think it was

No. They're not human errors. And they weren't in 2002 either. I give FIFA five years. After that I'm sure there will be a huge law case. Blatter can only go that far. He's starting to piss off too many people.

its a deserved win for these teams
maybe the ref gave a few ridiculous fouls and did not award some, but judging on the way the victors played.......they still deserve to win
its part of the game sometime with these mistakes
i mean.....thats quite the whole idea aint it?
i still stand for what i think
its written all over in the history.............Maradona's hand of God is the most noticeable in fact

It LOOKS like a deserved win. Spain could have been 2-0 down before they went 1-0 up. Absolute horseshit that that victory was deserved. It's pretty easy to win 4-0 if your opponent can cross the midway line without getting called back, gets a man sent of for no reason at all and you get a penalty.

Italian competition: fixed.
WC 2002: fixed.

And now they fixed it again? This is just plain silly.
