Andy, I'd expect more from you. This is a bit shortsighted. Maresca wasn't all that great when he was at Juventus and I think we need to admit that. As cruel as it might be, I like to think that the UEFA cup and Sevilla are more suited for Maresca than are the CL and Juventus.
Maresca has been great for Sevilla all season, and no matter what anybody says he deserves to be at Juventus more than the likes of Blasi or Giannichedda. That's for certain. He certainly has the balls skills to play at Juventus, and I still believe he should have been given a REAL chance.

No doubt about that, but Maresca should be no more than a substitute. Whatever people might believe, he's not a world class playmaker and Middlesborough still isn't Milan. I admit Maresca played a lovely game and I admit I always liked to see Maresca play, but all in all I can't say he satisfied me when he played for Juventus and I don't think he's the right player for us.

For once i agree with seven.. Maresca isnt close to being special.. He's jus playing at his level now...

Affairs getting interesting, another resignation, Giraudo under investigation and still a lot more to come out...

Surprised to se no mention of the interesting occurances between cap and ale today... Did we see the end of the road for one of them today ??

Which one ? Maybe even both ?

But he was never given a decent chance? Lippi only started him in a few matches and most of the time he was played out of position. How can we come to such a conclusion that he is not good enough for Juventus? And with what we have seen with Vieira sometimes this season I'm certain Maresca would add something to this side.

Yes, Elisa acted as if it was nothing special, but from what I read it doesn't look very good. My gut feeling says it'll be the end of the road for Ale, though Cap's exit would be far more just.

I will have to disagree here with you Seven.

Enzo is more than just a substitue, he just wasn't given the chance under-Lippi, If there's one thing Lippi did wrong in Juve is not giving him chance to play. Maresca isn't a playmaker as you described it bro, he does the defensive Job and can attack, much more attacker than Vieira though. True middlesbrough isn't Milan but you cant deny the fact that he got soo much potential and he deserve a better Club than Sevilla(Though I'm glad hes happy there)...If he isn't the right player for us seven then who is??? and TBH, I don't need just names, I need fighters and player playing with heart. Since the game was on, Maresca never stopped running nor gave up. Thats what I call a player.

I think that should it come down to the choice between DP or Capello, the board will fire Capello. They know that Ale is loved by the fans and that Capello definitly isn't(especially recently), should the board decide to stay with Capello, they're will be some hefty outbreaks involving the fans.

I'm afraid we just disagree on this one. I think Maresca still lacks something and is a great player on a lower level or a great player when you're 3-0 up, but not so great when you need to battle in a CL semi-final.

I have some questions...

Do you think Moggi will also go under investigation??

Do you think If things went really bad, we could really see Juventus in Serie B?? or It's only bla bla....

We already mentioned the thing that happened between Cap and Ale but from what I've read and heard that nothing bad happened....hope i'm right though.

He isn't worldclass, so we should not buy him back. However it is my opinion that we should never have sold him, he is a source of creativity in the midfield, something we lack and have missed a lot this season.

That's why I said "my gut feeling", I know Del Piero's the rational choice to make.

Now I know this doesn't sound very realistic, but what do you guys think about bringing Rui Costa to Juventus? I'll be the first to admit that I'm a great fan of the guy (after Del Piero he's my favourite player), but I think he could be of great use during the transition period we no doubt face. He'd be a buy to help us come through the next two years after which we should have found a better playmaker.
