International law really doesn't mean that much anyway, countries break "international laws" all the time and nothing happens.

Damn. In the back of my mind I knew Australia was tough, didn't know it was that tough.

It's not the same thing at all but the situation in the camps in France is pretty horrible as well. Greece is supposed to be worse, but I've never had refugee clients open up to me about that. Several women complained about sexual violence in the French camps though. Mostly from other refugees. I had one woman who was raped in France, got pregnant and gave birth to a boy but was too sad to even tell her mother, because she was supposed to leave for Europe for a better life and she felt like her mother would be affected very badly by the news.

Shit like that goes to the core when you know what certain people say about refugees.
