What I do like is that he's not buying the party line without engaging his brain. A generation or two ago we had news agencies in totalitarian states where the public wisely knew what was reported wasn't the truth, but they didn't know what the truth really was. Today we have completely subservient news consumers who do not read the news anymore with a skeptical eye -- who stop asking questions -- and are quick to judge something as truth and reality when it fits a convenient narrative.
If a kid's so-called invention isn't an invention, there's likely more to the story. Even if you think that's beside the point.
