can't stand him for the most part but he is right, the kid is a fraud, but that is mainly due to the cair/press spin
You really think the kid masterminded this whole thing from the start? I mean i can get if you accuse him of milking the situation he found himself in, but theres no way you can deny he was a victim of discrimination in the start.

Btw your opinion is needed in the us presidential elections thread;)

seems like an odd coincidence that his dad is a Muslim activist with a history of pulling ridiculous stunts for publicity...

did you watch the video in that article?
Nope, can't watch it now, I'm at work. But he'll probably be a bigger genius than i thought if he really did mastermind the whole thing. I mean even if we assume he didn't invent the thing, which i dont believe, but its way beside the point.

Dig deep enough into anything and you'll find odd coincidences.

whats even more odd is suggesting this has been masterminded by this family, spin happened after those morons in irving decided to go full retard with this situation
Exactly. This i can accept, the situation happened and then they milked it, not such a far cry.

You're saying he didn't invent the clock, I'm saying thats beside the point, and frankly isn't what the focus of this story is.

Btw, you might have missed my post above, but your opinion is needed in the us elections thread :p

I think he's not following the rabbit hole everyone else has been conveniently lead down.

:lol2: Defo true.

What I do like is that he's not buying the party line without engaging his brain. A generation or two ago we had news agencies in totalitarian states where the public wisely knew what was reported wasn't the truth, but they didn't know what the truth really was. Today we have completely subservient news consumers who do not read the news anymore with a skeptical eye -- who stop asking questions -- and are quick to judge something as truth and reality when it fits a convenient narrative.

If a kid's so-called invention isn't an invention, there's likely more to the story. Even if you think that's beside the point.

The whole issue is a 14 year old kid being profiled due to his name. Whether he invented the clock or bought it from a convenience store beside his house has little to do with the issue of blatant discrimination that a 14 year old was subject to from his own school and his own teacher.
