There apparently is a stigma associated with it in south Asian cultures according to my friend (she's Bengali), so I'm going to give this woman the benefit of the doubt and assume she's talking about that being as she also looks to be a descendant from that region. Otherwise, this is just as stupid as that picture that was causing a "controversy" a while back of the woman bleeding onto her bed in her sleep.

Imagine if you were super slow, you didn't know the story, and all you knew is that for some reason the course was marked in blood. A couple days later you find out that the course was marked in period blood.

So when is someone going to shit himself and run a marathon while the shit comes down his legs? Because that's just a bodily function too. Nothing to be ashamed about. We shit in these little tiny backrooms, hidden from everyone else, as if it doesn't really affect people. Obviously we should shit out in the open.

They said he was a tall and strong man in the article, apparently he got physical with them, and stalled them long enough for his daughter to drown. Seriously what kind of father does that?!

I know. But I find it very weird.. If it happened it is awful of course.

The story is weird though. As if lifeguards are going to care about what family has to say in that situation.
I agree, as in I find it a bit weird that they couldn't run away from him and save his daughter at that time. They weren't at a pool or a restircted area. They were at the beach FFS. Plus the adrenaline rush for someone like them would have been huge not to act in a situation like that.

Exactly. I don't think the man would even have had the time to try and fight the lifeguards..
