That's very unfortunate but I don't think it necessarily speaks about our immigration system. What if a legal immigrant did it? Would that mean we should stop letting people in?

And yeah, I do agree that the situation with people crossing the border isn't ideal and could use work. And I also hate how that article kept mentioning Donald Trump pisses me off because he is using this as publicity.

When you have been deported 5 times and have been jailed for previous felonies and STILL was able to do what he did then yes, you have a problem with the immigration system. When you have untold amounts of illegals being caught for a crime, released back into society only to recommit the same or equally disturbing crimes then you absolutely have a problem with immigration.

Trump is saying what a lot of Americans already feel he isn't a politician so he isn't afraid of this absolute rubbish "politically correct" society that is being forced down our throats. Trump might not be the best candidate but he is spot on with immigration.

And ALC, he was deported FIVE FUCKING TIMES, no one let him in he came illegally. This isn't hard to understand. There are law abiding immigrants and there aren't.

You know the ironic thing is, Trump is using this to push his agenda at fixing the border which most of us want, how is that a bad thing? You see liberals screaming left and right about immigrants and their rights but when something like this happens you don't see shit in the media because it backfired in their faces.

Even you agree the situation at our borders needs addressed, even slightly. All Trump is saying is essentially how far and often are we going to let this thing go before we start making better decisions?

inb4 I get absolutely bashed on here for saying this.

My point is that he didn't do that because he was an illegal immigrant. Yes, the situation could have been avoided with hindsight but there's a reason they have that law in place over there. Assimilating immigrants seems to be the better option. Because one crazy nut killed someone, it doesn't mean it's an illegal immigration problem.

It's a freaky event. That kind of stuff is really rare around here. And the place where it happened isn't a dangerous place.

What they don't mention in the article is that a TV crew was sent to film a live shot there for the TV news -- as is required for some ridiculous reason in TV news these days. On location there, some dudes came up and mugged the TV camera crew at gunpoint and stole their video equipment.

Yeehaaa...

You do realize there are more than one of these situations happening, right? One crazy nut? Do you think these latin american countries genuinely send their best citizens? Of course not. They are getting rid of a problem on their own hands and offloading onto someone else. This poor girl is a victim of that.

And when you have groups like La Raza (The Race) running around without restrictions its kinda hard to "assimilate". You gotta see the big picture man. It's right in front of you.

They did say the exact same about Irish, Jews, Italians, Catholics, etc. a little over the century ago.

The global story of immigration is of benefitting and assimilating personally and then wanting to shut the door on the next fool in line behind you, calling him an uneducated criminal monster out to rape our wimmin, abduct our kids, take our jobs, send their earnings off to foreign despots whose laws they are truly working for.

This has been going on for hundreds of years and it's not new. The only difference is that the modern world makes globalization that much faster and at scale.
