But again, how is that any different than any other politician? If Polls are to believed there are a lot of people that think immigration is a serious issue and as a result he is riding a waive of increase support at least temporarily because of the storm he created.

If he wanted to draw national attention to an issue our media shys away from then his mission was indeed accomplished.
Dude, it's the same bump he got when he was riding the birther train in the last election. Quit joking around man.:D

And saying "how is this different that any other politician" doesn't mean anything. We're talking about Trump. If anything, the fact that Donald Trump can walk into a press conference, spout some harsh words about immigration and get an 8 point boost in the polls, is an indicator of how far the republican party has fallen since the 2008 election when they started letting the crazy people in.

And if you can't rightly conclude the media spin in this country then any debate with you on American politics is probably not going to amount to anything other than a pointless argument. :D
Disregardin any media spin, I still find the words outragious. Of course you can twist them to mean something much less offensive, something that can actually be discussed about, but the way he himself put it in my opinion disqualifies him from being taken seriously in a political discussion.

Likewise, if if Hillary can speak at La Raza, who stands for allowing illegals to vote and open borders, how can she be taken seriously when she gets a bump? Or if she speaks at a women's rights rally but pays her own women LESS than the national average she claims to want to improve? Or knock the wealthy and 1% when she is and how much foreign money she receives? She will get bumps and people will take it seriously. When a republican gets a bump its somehow criminal or a laughing stock. Why? Why the double standard?

I guess we stand completely differently on politics, which is fine, you see it one way and I another. Is Trump a good candidate? Probably not but I don't think he is any worse than what the other side has to offer. Each candidate panders to their base, that can't be denied.

We just look at things differently. I look at what I perceive to be wrong with the picture and point things out and you find things you perceive to be right and defend them.
I guess :D

But the links I've listed today are things that I see as wrong :D

Dont fucking vote, if what you bolded is true, this is the saddest state of affairs when an attentionwhoring clown like Trump is seen as legit enough and you cant even seriously distinguish if he is good enough candidate or not. If there is even a hint of a doubt, just dont waste your time on this BS charade, when the standards have fallen this badly...

The problem that the Republican party has is that they don't really have a strong enough candidate this time around. A bunch of also rans. Maybe Jeb will push through. Hillary is reaping the benefit of being the only real candidate running on the Democratic ticket even though she's probably the worst person (among those with a chance) the Americans can elect this time around.

Hence reform. Politics is at play now, sadly, and its unfortunate for us citizens. Its all about the vote. In fact, Hillary speaking WITH La Raza this week is literally spelling that out.
Be it far from me to defend Hillary, but IMO, if Trump is all high and mighty on immigration, he should confront La Raza by speaking with them too.

But you can't accuse Trump of doing something everyone else is also doing or has done without giving due diligence to others, regardless of ideology, of doing the same thing.
Every politician is opportunistic. It's a requirement. It's also why only certain people with mental deficiencies and a tolerance for sleaze get into politics.

What's different here is that you were saying that what Trump was saying was factually accurate. I pointed out that Trump is saying what he wants a potential voting swath to hear from him. There is a difference.

He isn't saying that. Nor am I. Don't be so obtuse. Hell, all morning long I've heard latinos calling into political radio agreeing with what Trump has said. Many have said its well known in the latino community of the issues and its been too long swept under the rug. All Trump is saying is exactly what the left and media refuse to acknowledge because its all about the vote and not upsetting their base. Exactly what Swag accused Trump of doing others are doing well on both sides.
If you've ever been to Mexico City, you'll see a Mexican middle class that you won't find here -- people eating in nice restaurants, driving nice cars, etc. So of course it's disproportionally the people with the worst job or social prospects that emigrate seeking opportunity that they cannot forge or find for themselves at home.

But that's different than saying that the immigrants are mainly murderers and rapists. This isn't Cuba's Mariel boatlift we're talking about where the government is actively trying to exile criminals.

Because when I look at who is lining up in front of the Home Depots across this country, it's not people who risked so much to come here to rape and murder people. It's people who just want to work their asses off to make a better life for themselves and their families.

Another irony is that the majority of these people are often religious and social conservatives with heavy-duty "family values" compared to most Americans, and yet they are characterized as disproportionately rapists and murderers.

You guys do realize our media (aside from Fox) is entirely liberal, right? So naturally, based off of that information, don't you think Trump is going to get 10 times more media pressure than liberal candidates? If it wasn't for Fox you wouldn't hear a peep about Hillary's email scandal, Benghazi, her shitty record as SoS, among other political scandals over the last presidency. Regardless of what Trump said, you better bet your sweet cakes the media is going to pounce while circling the wagon around their own candidates. Birds of a feather...
I don't see how an email scandal or a he-said/she-said over what happened to some diplomats in a faraway continent is supposed to get the voting public as worked up over the rape and murder of their family members in their own back yards, though.

Of course Cam, but he said it in a way to get he most press. Trump is the master of this. Now he can stand in his bathroom and tell himself "I'm so awesome".
His hair included.

I haven't found one yet I am willing to put my vote behind.

Both sides suck. I'm simply of the opinion one side is worse than the other.

He's too socialist for the Americans. He doesn't stand a chance :D He's a much better candidate than Hillary.
Don't be surprised. The power the the media here and the unlimited amount of dead people voting can make anything happen.
