-Arming ourselves is a right, though. There are plenty of non-violent people that own guns and never ever use them unless someone breaks into their house. No fixing the problem of gun violence should be to take guns away, that's like saying fixing road rage in big cities the only solution would be to take the cars away. Stupid IMO. Fix our idiots in hollywood, you know, the liberals who scream gun violence needs curbed by gun control but go make 30m making a movie with machine guns and people getting killed. Like I said in my last post, there are other solutions out there that are making people violent and it isn't guns.

What kind of treatment? I'm not talking about drugs and medication, I'm talking about actually fixing the poor communities who can't get jobs at a young age and grow up listening to rap music that all cops are bad, fuck white people and have no other choice but to turn to crime. The good ol' white folks carrying their bibles and toting guns screaming yee-haw constitution are the least of the problems here.

You were blaming the symptoms (violent video games etc. which isn't true btw). I'm saying it's about the social policy. An alcoholic isn't an alcoholic because the alcohol.

What needs fixed? It's the criminals everyone needs to worry about, NOT the people shouting constitution.

People that think murder rates would drop if guns were "controlled" are ludicrous because if someone wants to murder someone with a gun and can't get a gun they go grab a knife, hammer, or crowbar, etc. Makes no difference, if someone is intent on killing mass children and can't get a gun they will make a homemade bomb or hijack a school bus full of kids.

Controlling guns or "gun control" should be the least of our worries here. Fixing violent behavior, video games at young ages, rap music, etc should be the priority. Fixing Af-Am urban areas in big cities would also be another step in the right direction. Can't do that with a democrat in office though.

Bottom line is, there are a million reasons why there is violence and as you say, an alcoholic isn't an alcoholic because of the alcohol...same goes for criminals...a criminal isn't a criminal because of the gun. So controlling either alcohol or the gun doesn't fix the alcoholic or the criminal.
