You know why? Because the insured pay for the uninsured. Hospitals have to stay solvent, and they can't turn away gunshot victims and alcoholics crashing behind the wheel who don't have insurance.

So how do you balance the books? $50 aspirin, that's how.

And they say we can't afford to insure the uninsured. :lol: We already are....

That said, we have to be serious that not every person on the planet can get $10 million liver transplants and the system is self-supporting. We hate the thought of rationing our health care, but there's honestly no other way. Some people are going to get too expensive for the system to support and they have to be on their own.
