The more you hear about this the worse it gets..

The number #1 rule of gun safety, which most 8 yr olds can follow flawlessly, is that you always treat a firearm as loaded. Basically, even if the magazine is out, action is open, even if the firing pin has been remove etc... you never point a firearm at another person. Why are there functional firerarms and live ammunition allowed within a film set at all? If you need to use authentic firearms then make it a quarantine zone. If you want the actors to become familiar with how discharging a firearm feels well then it doesn't need to be done on set at all.

Its not California. Its fucking rural New Mexico, you don't need a firearm range. Drive a mile down the yard. Walk a couple hundred feet in any direction from the highway. You can shoot whatever the fuck you want with basically any weapon short of automatic, biochemical or nuclear weapons. Leave the firearm you used to practice with real bullets outside the quarantine zone.

I hope Baldwin gets wrecked. Even for America this is comical.
