Emerson,
I totally agree - Don Fabio should be given full support that he is now a Juve coach from fans, players, and management. After all, he is a coach with a great pedigree. And giving support, I mean providing the coach with necessary players that he needs to compete in the highest of levels. Right now, as far as I am concerned, we are not good enough to full-fill fans expectations and certainly that of management's. If Moggi thinks the club is in fine shape and set by just adding a great coach and world-class midfielder, then he should prepare himself for a big shock. With Don Fabio you need to give him the good players so that he can do his job. What I was referring to, and I am pretty sure Dominic too, is that given the fact that we are not signing top quality established players why sign Capello on an expensive wage when grooming youngster isn't his forte? I would rather have Prandelli or Deschamp, both of whom, have done marvellous job of getting best of and improving their players. And they would have brought with them "their" who are certainly better than Panucci, and Cruz.
I have no problems with Capello brining his players and that they are Romanisti (Though Totti would be hard to accept) as long as they are good like Antonio, Olivier, Walter, Christian, De Rossi, Bovo, D'agostino, et al. Panucci isnt one of them.:D.

Capello is good at getting the best out of players, and improving players, just look at De Rossi and Cassano (Cassano was good when he arrived but he wouldnt be who he is today without Capello. So i dont agree that Deschamps is better than Capello on it at all. Zebina is another example from last year, maybe he can get or legrottaglie good after a while too.

Juve launch Cesar bid
Friday 20 August, 2004

Juventus still haven’t given up the hope of signing Lazio star Aparecido Cesar this summer.

Inter are believed to be in pole position for the left-sided player but reports today claim that the Bianconeri are still in the chase.

With Inter failing to agree terms with Lazio so far, as President Giacinto Facchetti has hinted, Juve could swoop.

However, the Old Lady’s attempts to convince the capital outfit to sell is rather complicated.

Whispers suggest that Juve will first net Rodrigo Taddei from Siena and then instantly offer him to the Olimpico outfit as part of the deal to sign Cesar.

Taddei is currently in dispute with the Tuscan club and is keen for a move – even if his first choice is Roma.

But the talented midfielder is liked by the Biancocelesti who could be tempted to do a deal with the Turin giants.

Cesar too would be open to a Juventus switch. "He wants to play for a top club," said agent Gilmar Veloz.

"There is no difference between Inter and Juventus for him. It is simply up to Lazio to decide."

There is also the possibility that Taddei may be used as a bargaining tool for two other Lazio players instead.

Juve are known to be keen on right-back Massimo Oddo and striker Simone Inzaghi. The latter would replace Marco Di Vaio – who was sold to Valencia last month.

Prima l'Europa, poi Campbell
20 08 2004

Settimana decisiva per la Juventus: Moggi aspetta il passaporto per la Champions dalla partita di ritorno col Djurgarden prima di dare l'assalto finale alle due pedine ancora necessarie allo scacchiere di Capello. Chiesto Sol Campbell all'Arsenal.

First Europe,then Campbell
20 08 2004

Decisive week for the Juventus: Moggi waits the passport for the Champions from the entry of return col Djurgarden before to give the final assault to two things still necessary to the chessboards of Capello. Asked Sol Campbell from the arsenal.

It will be in fact the eventual entrance in Champions League to give back necessary the return on the market for strengthening the squad, nonchè to give back financial possible the acceleration on the negotiations than Moggi sketched in the weeks passed. With the Europe would double the entries to dispute and there have been a thirty of millions in more available, ragion for that the club bianconero waited for until now to give Capello a defender and a left outside as a request.

For the role of outside it is pointed always on Cesar, that however it is more near the inter, and on Jankulovski, with that instead there it is already the agreement also for the part that pertains the udinese, while for the defender the situation is all now rather fluid; there is an agreement of greatest with Parma for Bonera, that bianconero could become immediately after the Olympic Games, but in the last hours came Sol Campbell.

The Juve got via fax the availability of the arsenal to tmake it, quite knowing that Wenger is very interested in Stephen Appiah, that continue to show its emissaries also in the olimpiade. For one like Campbell, itself vocifera to the inside of the society, could be done also a financial effort besides the budget expected.

The negotiation could base itself on an exchange of 4 millions of adjusting to the arsenal, from that await answered themselves in the next hours. It should run aground the negotiation with the londoners, Heaps will close col Parma for Bonera.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now it is all clear:

1.We enter the CL---->we bring the players and have a nice team, and a nice season.

2.We embarres ourself by getting kicked from the Cl------>no new players,no new defence and we end up a miserble season with fighting for the 4th spot.
