The fact that smoking carries with it a stigma and is generally discuraged is what makes it appealing to youth. Furthermore, not all smokers tell kids not to smoke. I would never do such a thing and to so blatantly attmept to draw a conclusion for someone else is a terrible thing to do.

I think that people who smoke and who do not accept the related health risks are foolish. I smoke, but I do not wish to quit and I do not assume that it will not have ill affects to my health. Basically, if you're not okay with getting cancer, enphasema, etc. then you shouldn't smoke. However, if you don't fear death or disease, as modern society would tell you to, and you enjoy smoking, then I think that it's wrong for people to try to prevent you from doing as such.

so why do i have to suffer because of you ?

Let me add sth: and as long as you dont smoke in public places, cause in this way you affects also me, and as long as you dont reach out your hands for public money to be cured in public hospitals - fair enough for me.

I think pets are a MUCH bigger annoyance factor than smokers (just think of all the crap they leave behind on public streets that you don't want on your shoes). And they too are a health risk in many different forms. From lice to ticks to rabies.

Fish are pretty cool- no need to walk them, clean them, etc.

And they never say they are hungry.
No, they just sink to the bottom of the pool and lie there, that should tip you off. :D

Good argument though, if I ever get a pet it's gonna be fish.

I don't know about public money for hospitals. I mean, by that morality, you should deny public money to help somebody who breaks his leg playing rugby in the park. I mean, it was reckless and dangerous to play rugby, the potential for injury is great. Why should we have to pay for his injury, just because he was stupid...

I don't plan to take any public money, personally, and I avoid smoking where it woudl bother others. But, I think that the government stepping in to ban it from pubs is wrong. If there were a serious demand for smoke-free pubs, then there would be specific smoke-free pubs, and those of us who enjoy a fag with our beer should be allowed to. It's not really that hard nowadays to avoid places where people are smoking...
