I meant in the sense the high cost that Marty was facing in running the forum...and as for the members getting tired of it, look at yourself and guys like JCK and Azzurri7, you've been around for such a long time now, have you gotten tired of it yet?
I wouldn't be here if I had to pay. That's one important member less ;).

how did the forum get into debt? what caused this? how can you guarentee it wont happen again, i just cant wrap my head around how an internet forum can cost so much a year.
Marty didn't pay the 16k a year. This is why Byrone now needs to pay 50k to the internet. It is insane to expect people to cough up 16k.

Oh...well I really appreciate the gesture but don't know if I can accept something like that.
Im doing it as your friend,so yes you can.:)

I don't need to hear from anyone. Byrone says it costs 16 000 dollar a year to run this forum and he says Marty paid this himself.

I don't trust Byrone. He's some guy on the internet. Some guy on the internet has ripped off a lot of people in the past. He is giving us no guarantees whatsoever. Hell, we could even be banned after paying 20 dollars!

And yeah, you'll get your elite forum. Great. You'll miss out on new members and eventually the forum will die.

Do the mods have to pay 20 dollars as well?
When did this happen? Yup Alen is going to & he's kind enough to make a donation.

Ow right, a reward. Yeah.

Oh and c'mon now, I now it sucks but some of you react like you'd have to pay those 16k$ yourself. People (15mln people, actually) pay 13e/month to play World of Warcraft.
Those people know what they're getting. They pay a fixed price every month and the company won't go bankrupt or disappear with all their money.

They also pay for something they can't find anywhere else for free.

You're seriously asking me when some guy on the internet ripped off others?

Yes, Marty owes the internet 50k. Right. And you bought the forum so you could have the pleasure of owing the internet 50k yourself. That makes sense, Byrone.

Andries you need to calm down.

Btw, I have few questions I couldn't ask last night because my head was a bit too heavy at 5am.

Do we pay annually or just first year Byrone?
If a member can't pay, someone special lets say, can I pay on his behalf? it works?

Just pay 16k. That way everyone gets to join for free.

Yes and I don't. And even if I did, it seems to be a pretty nice game.
Don't ever try it. It will make you sit infront of your pc 10 hours a day, believe me.

You are wrong, they can get pretty much the same thing on a private server where it's free, but they don't. But if you pay then yes, they provide more.

But you see, no one would actually pay for a private server because you can't be sure of what you're getting. It's all about guarantees.
