The badge doesn't fit the tradition and history of the club.

I'm all for creating a brand and pushing new markets but not at the expense of our tradition. This akin to something an MLS club would do or Manchester City, I think the board has forgotten that football fans care about the history of teams.

Maybe we should use the logo as a brand for non-football activities only.

Is our tradition really suffering though? What happened, happened. That's not erased by a new badge. Clearly with J stadium and J everything we're working towards a new era.

Quite frankly people who live in the past in any walk of life bore me to tears, the past had some great times. But fuck the past now, let's dominate the future.

How is it that RM, Barca and Man U can sell shitloads more stuff than us and yet hold on to virtually the same logos they've always had? I'm wondering if Juve's marketing team ever even bothered to ask themselves that question before they decided to spend bucket loads of cash on that piss poor design and not a Pogba replacement

Many factors, let's start by the huge setback that is Calciopoli followed by a long period without success on the European front. Then you have the factor of TV rights that the league brings with it. All this generated money brings star players with it that bring even more money, it's a vicious circle and it is keeping other teams away.

sooo...from what i've read it's not only the logo. the club wants the brand to be more. make things alone (without adidas etc..) ... if it's succesfull the club will be filthy rich.

we would fabricate our own uniforms and merchandise without any 3rd party involved like adidas for example?. So the full money of the sale would come to us?.

But what about the money we get paid when we do a deal with a company like adidas?. We would have to seriously oursell those gains to compensate.

Ill be honest, i love Juventus, and immproud of the team.. but when it comes to wear clothes and Juve merchandise, i only do it for games et all.. but i do not use the uniform like an everyday cloth. Part of it is because of the juventus logo... and im not talking about juventus in particular, but it would be the same with any other football crest.

i just dont feel comfort wearing football crests on my clothes whenever i go.


But this new logo, on the other hand, looks like the label of a brand instead of a "i like football" sign. It could be wore more casually instead of looking out of place or forced.

I would seriously do not underestimate that fact. if it grows as a brand.. it could be wore by anyone anywhere... pretty much like someone mentiones the New York Yankees logo. People wear it like fashion.

It reminds me the "Nike swoosh"" Logo in some way. It works for everything.

I find it funny that the football itali guy mentions that Nike doesnt change it...but its obvious they dont need to. Their logo is already good for this kind of merhacndising

Would pay good money for it providing the quality and fit was solid. But the exact same t-shirt with a normal club logo on it from any club really just looks tacky.

Another interesting thing to note for people ripping on the badge because they just don't like the look

Look at the most recognisable brands in the World right now. They mostly (Can't say all for sure off the top of my head) have these simplistic logos. Memorable, modern and really basic. That's what this is. Worlds apart from your average football club logo.

I don't like the new logo but we need to get rid if the idea to be a classic football club. You can't compete with the top but still be only traditional. Barca signed shirt sponser, Bayern is like a business with 1000 companies supporting them. Real is a marketing machine and so on. If we want to make the jump to the top we got to do things "real fans" won't like

As long as they make a nice jersey and fit it all nicely and clean, people will start to like it.

I like the logo but not a the club's crest. At the end of the day I don't mind it as long as it brings the desired effect. People have to realize the change is not for us, old farts but for new fans who will join soon, sometimes even without knowing they did. I hate the globalization stuff but it seems for Juve it's somewhat a turning point. We've kept growing with decent pace for the last 6-7 years but we're still failing to catch up with the big dogs; it's even worse because we're falling behind. If you want to stay competitive and sign top class players, we need to do something extra, to catch up and eventually surpass other clubs. Serie A is holding us back and it's not going to change so if we don't do anything, the gap will become even wider.

The funny thing is that people in here realize we're far behind financially but don't applaud the change which can only do us good.

Funnily to become a top-top club in the world of football, we can't be 'only' a football club anymore if you know what I mean. J-Medical, J-Hotel and stuff like that suggest exactly that. People are jealous of the money the MU/RM/Barca brands bring but at the same time expect Juve to join them while doing nothing?

Some people just prefer to be 'that' guy who sits at the corner in the pub talking about the GOAT juve team of '96, interrupting the 2025 champions league discussion on the table next to him to talk about a young Del Piero and dem traditions.

The World doesn't give a fuck guys, the future is more important.

Last I checked we're still playing in Turin under the Juventus name in black & white stripes. Plenty of tradition there.

I bet some people who oppose this move also opposed moving out of the cancerous cavern in to the new, history lacking, soulless J stadium.

Agree with you as usual, except for one point.


This logo has to be all inclusive, kits and all. Because it would lose it's power if it was a case of 'Oh yeah we're still keeping the Juve badge but to make some side cash here's a modern stylish logo'

It's kinda like *Insert celebrity here* taking a photo with Agnelli vs being photographed in a Juve kit. One publicity stunt is barely linked to the club and flies under the radar, the other has a big name celeb doing the rounds on the internet representing the club.

Throughout history, loads of people just flat out hate change, even if it's obviously great for progress.

If people want us to do more than curb stomp Serie A (Even that can become difficult after a while) then we need to catch up to the big boys. And Italy alone is never going to be enough. Clubs like United shit money, and it's because they're a global brand, and known in all the right places.

People who know fuck all about football could tell you a bit about United.

Yap true that. Change is not always for the worse. I don't like google or facebooks logo but I couldn't care less, I still use it. And we have always been a club that does things first. So who knows if not more clubs will follow this model
Also I trust our management, who have done everything to create a great income and close the gap with the giants. And they have done so in a league that is far behind and no one outside of Italy really takes seriously
