Iuliano is good enough for the bench? What a thing to say!
I ment that he is good enough as a sub for Montero and Ferrara if one of them couldn't play. Don't take me wrong, I think Iuliano is a great defender, it's just that I don't think he's good enough for the starting lineup IMHO(slow, makes stupid mistakes etc.)

tudor is a bench player now? I find that laughable.
Well isn't he? Since Lippi arrived he has never been a regular. Ok, he had a couple of injuries but when he was fit Lippi still placed him on the bench. I guess that makes him a bench player.

Not good enough? Since when?
Ok, he's good enough but I think we should have someone better. In CL, for instance, the defence must be solid and secure and that not always occurs when Iuliano is playing. Besides, he's not very fast nor any young.

The last time Tudor actually played in defence was under Ancelotti, coping at the time admirably well.
Well you're right, i'll consider him as a midfielder from now on.

He has been out due to injury for a long time but it doesn't change the fact that he was once known to be among the best defensive prospects in Europe.
Yeah, but that's not what I meant. I was talking about how good he is now, not in general. I know he was doing some real impressive stuff and was regarded one the greatest talents in Europe, but that's not the player he is today. It will take some time before he will find his great form back, he will have to play in many matches, but now that we are knocked out of Coppa his chance is almost gone.

And what is Bonera? Just that, he's a prospect, he's not established, he doesn't have the experience and he makes, on occasion, the kind of rookie mistakes you would expect from a young player. In contrast, Tudor has spent several years maturing since his arrival from Hajduk Split and he is to be considered a more mature player at this point, unlike Bonera. There is no conceivable reason for me to pin any greater hope on Bonera than I would on Tudor.
So he hasn't played for a while, esp in defence, does that mean he has lost his ability? Give him Iuliano's place, start in some games, sub in others, give him some time on the pitch to build up his confidence. All post-injury players need that period of grace. Then we shall see.
So buy Bonera? That isn't necessarily a bad idea but not to replace Tudor surely.

May I remind you that Bonera is also considered as a great prospect, currently only in Italy but soon also in Europe. Tudor also makes stupid mistakes btw(against Man U for instance). Perhaps you're right about Tudor being more experienced, but that's hardly a big difference. Besides, Tudor has sitten on the bench for two seasons now while Bonera is getting some first team football with Parma. He will soon gain as much experience as Tudor.
About giving him that chance, I doubt Lippi will do that. Why, I don't know.
Btw I never said we should replace him instead of Tudor.
