the question is if we should build the new stadium. I think no. Before I thought this idea really sucked but i've oome to realize that turin doesn't deserve Juventus. Move the whole club somewhere else where the stadium will be full of supporters.

Hey -- them's fighting words. ;) Torino is a great city. And you could say that the roots of a lot of Juve's distributed fan base comes because of the role of Torino in the industrialization of Italy.

Men looking for work migrated to the FIAT factories from places like Sicily and southern Italy, etc., and guys like Gianni Angelli welcomed them. He gave them a football club they could be proud of, and they took that club support back home with them.

I'm as disappointed as anyone over the turnouts. But Torino is still a great place, and a historically important one, for the team. Hopefully some of the attendance problems can be resolved locally.

(And for the record, I'm glad to see many TV and media networks rejecting the ugly and useless "Turin" moniker for the 2006 Olympics, instead going for "Torino". I don't call Livorno "Leghorn" either. :rolleyes2 )

35 000 seats capacity.
Juve refused to name it Nike Arena for 190mln for 12 years.

I think they should build the new stadium.. itllbe great for the fans, because there wouldn't be the track.....givingthe fans a more closeup view of the players onthe pitch. With that, the stadium wouldhave a greater ambiance. It'll also give us recognition from around Europe for being one of the best stadiums.

Yes, we deffinately need a new stadium. all big clubs in europe have great stadiums without running track of which they can be proud. In the delle alpi we do not have a big advantage at home games because the fan are so far away from the field. If we get a real football stadium the fans will be five metres away from the field. it will be a real home advantage for us with 30.000 fans singing for juventus. can`t wait to see us play in the new stadium. I am also looking forward to seeing usplay next season in the stadio comunale. Delle Alpi just has no heart and no soul. Fans never liked it since we moved there. It is just a big piece of concrete but no stadium where you want to watch football. There is absolutely no comfort and the atmosphere is bad. I think if we build a new stadium for 40.000 it will be sould out nearly every game. When the delle alpi was new we also had 40.000-50.00.

Del Piero once said that he would love a new stadium without running tracks because the fans are so far away.

35000 is not enough for a club the size of juventus.
why not just rennovate the delle alpi and remove the racing tracks and add seats there?
and if a stadium is to be built,it should seat around 55000 to 60000 at miniumum.
35000 is laughable for a club of juventus's stature.

but that's what we're doing....we're renovating the Delle Alpi---so next season we're gonna be playing in another stadium...and fans in Turin aren't showing up as they used to....actually the whole of Italy...i heard they had a 20% drop in attendance due to the economy. But think of it this way,we make alot of money from TV rights. But it would be nice if people would come out and support their team like they used to.

and come on this season we lowered the price dramatically to accomodate the fans...urging them to come and support the team...and still they stay home. This is a big problem, Ithink we've got the lowest attendance of fans in the stadium for one of the best clubsin the world.
