Hey -- them's fighting words.

Torino is a great city. And you could say that the roots of a lot of Juve's distributed fan base comes because of the role of Torino in the industrialization of Italy.
Men looking for work migrated to the FIAT factories from places like Sicily and southern Italy, etc., and guys like Gianni Angelli welcomed them. He gave them a football club they could be proud of, and they took that club support back home with them.
I'm as disappointed as anyone over the turnouts. But Torino is still a great place, and a historically important one, for the team. Hopefully some of the attendance problems can be resolved locally.
(And for the record, I'm glad to see many TV and media networks rejecting the ugly and useless "Turin" moniker for the 2006 Olympics, instead going for "Torino". I don't call Livorno "Leghorn" either. :rolleyes2 )
