Said who?? Deli Alpi hasn't been Juve's official stadium u know....
Well as far as I know we practically bought the stadium, or leased it for like 99 years or sumthin, so I think changing stadium is out of the question.

They're gonna build a whole Juve complex over there, a meeting point for Juve lovers world wide. Atleast me thinks!

Juve hope for temporary return to Stadio Comunale
Tue Nov 29, 2005 4:09 PM GMT
MILAN, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Italian champions Juventus hope to return to their old Stadio Comunale next season while the Delle Alpi is being rebuilt.

The Comunale, Juve's home before the Delle Alpi was built for the 1990 World Cup, has been redeveloped for February's Winter Olympics in Turin and will be the venue for the opening ceremony.

"We have made a request to play here next season while the reconstruction work is being undertaken at the Delle Alpi," Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi told local media on Tuesday.

Coach Fabio Capello, who played at the Comunale as a Juve player in the 1970s, said he was keen on the idea.

"I've got many memories from this stadium and I hope that next season we will be coming to play here," he said.

The Comunale will be renamed the Olympic Stadium for the Winter Games before being given the title 'Grande Torino' in recognition of the Torino side wiped out by the 1949 Superga air crash.

Serie B club Torino, who share the Delle Alpi with Juve, are expected to play their home games at the Comunale next season.

The Delle Alpi has a capacity of nearly 70,000 but is expected to hold only 40,000 after redevelopment work which will include the removal of the athletics track.

i think we should squat out at the comunale and refuse to leave;)

I like the idea of playing there for one season. Better than playing in a delle alpi that is under construction. The new communale is nice and the stands are closer to the pitch than in the delle alpi.

11/30/2005 6:49:00 AM
Work for the refurbishment of the Delle Alpi stadium will take place near year.
Antonio Giraudo confirmed that the Old Lady will play its home matches in the revamped Comunale stadium, until the works on the Delle Alpi stadium are completed.

"We have already made a request to the city to play the next season here (Comunale stadium), when we shall start work on the Delle Alpi stadium in May."

Fabio Capello is also extremely satisfied with this decision.

"I have many memories tied to this stadium. I played here for six seasons."
