I think Entertainment and Shopping centers will boost sales a bit as people can then do both and not have to sacrifice their time for shopping and stuff just to make it to a Juve game.

But a better atmosphere will do wonders IMO, its very bad if your in a stadium filled with people yet u still feel alont because of the coldness.

Anyhow we better make use of the Delle Alpi, because it is ours for another 96 or so years.

I don`t know if a shopping center would work there. Perhaps revenues would be good on the matchdays. But on the other days? I don`t know if it would work. It is far away from the city and I don`t know if people would go there shopping. It would have to be worth going there and the public transport there would have to be improved. It would just be great if the underground would go there. but I just think it is too far outside of the city.

Juventus arena set for revamp Tuesday 25 October, 2005

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus have confirmed that renovation work on their Stadio Delle Alpi will finally get underway next year.

The club have been planning to turn the stadium into a more fan friendly arena for some time, but have been stalled by numerous problems.

However, chief operating officer Antonio Giraudo has today confirmed that the project is on the verge of being given the green light.

"We had already wanted the work to have started back in May 2004, but bureaucracy got in the way and that has caused this delay," Giraudo stated.

"We will unveil our final plans in April 2006, as well as revealing the name of the stadium’s sponsor which will also be used as the arena’s new name.

"Thanks to this reconstruction, we will have a five-star facility which will allow us to quadruple our usual stadium income.

"It could all be completed in the space of two years."

Although the Delle Alpi was only built for the 1990 World Cup Finals, it has proved to be an unpopular venue for fans.

Many complain that the view is not ideal, mainly because of the redundant running track which circles the pitch.

Although the 70,000 capacity is expected to be greatly reduced, the running track will be removed, with the stands subsequently brought closer to the field of play.
