Actually Atalanta have spend more money on transfer fees during that time. However they've also received quite a bit in sales so their net spend is ≈70m lower than Lazio's. So you have two very different transfer models: one keeps their best players and spends very little on reinforcements and the other sells their players but spends a bit more money on getting reinforcements in.

I have no clue but Max and ZZ both sound like the best choices. When CR7 came craved offensive minded soccer but these days relegated to wanting only 1-0 Max-like wins. If CR7 wants to bring Juve a CL trophy, he might have to settle for 25 goals max for the season. Looking back if Max/CR7 could have had that 2nd year together, maybe it could have progressed well?

the performance of Atalanta players outside of their Atalanta bubble makes me think that Gasp is the reason why you think Atalanta better. f.e. Gagliardini, Kessie, Cristante looked like the shit in Atalanta, but all turned out to be much less exciting once they joined Inter, Milan and Roma.

That's a bad take. Atalanta were a bottom midtable team before Gasp took over. Their budget is also not comparable to Lazio.

Two of those three trophies won by Inzaghi are supercoppa's. Really weak argument there.

Having said that, I would prefer someone younger, up and coming coach like Inzaghi who still has room to improve over Gasperini who would probably need the ideal conditions to be a success here.

Then with Inzaghi 5th (2 pts behind 4th Atalanta), then 5th again (level on pts with 4th Inter and 12 ahead of Atalanta in 7th), then 8th (9 pts behind Atalanta 3rd) and then 4th (level on pts with Atalanta in 3rd). So all in all I don't see that much of a difference in the league either.

And the other day when I was saying Gasp was a loser I was getting all kinds of 'when and where was he supposed to stumble upon a trophy with Juve dominating the league'. Guess what - Inzaghi beat Juve in both Supercoppa titles and beat Atalanta in the Coppa final (who eliminated Juve beforehand). I don't see how this is debatable at all.

Sure, for Juventus who have won so much over the years a one off Coppa means less than qualifying for CL and financial benefits that gives you, but if you're never (or rarely) winning anything...
