Saving Juve's ass time and time again: No doubt about it.

Being the most crucial and consistent player on the roster: No question about it.

Without his miracle saves the Final was only something to watch on TV: Without a doubt.

The one player Juve COULD NOT do without it: Of course.

His memorable saves in the CL Final, Semi-Final and extra time vs. Barca: Priceless.

The Price you pay for being Italian in a world of anti-italian Spanish/English and French Journalists who label us the anti-football: You ARE denied the Golden Ball.

Gigi...CHE CAZZATA....FORZA AZZURRI...FORZA ITALIA...SEI MITICO LO STESSO.
All true, but here also the performance for the NT counts and there Nedved beats Gigi, well actually anyother player as well, as he's been the fuel for the Czech NT (like for Juve). Gli italiani non possono vincere sempre. Almeno Nedved gioca per un club azzurro ;)

Shame the images say "gettyimages", but here are some high quality pictures:

PARIS, FRANCE: Juventus midfielder Pavel Nedved kisses, 22 December 2003 in Paris, with the Ballon d'Or, prize handed out by bi-weekly France Football magazine for the 2003 European Footballer of the Year. Nedved captained Czech Republic to the Euro 2004 finals in Portugal and last season led Juventus to the Champions League final, where they lost to AC Milan on penalties, though he was suspended for that match at Old Trafford. Vin, if he was Italian, then he wouldn't have won it.

The last Italian to win was Roby in '93, and we all know who he played for back then:)

I've gone from despising the guy (scoring against Italy in Euro 96 and a few times against Juve) to making him one of my favourite players.

I don't believe that, and I don't think that Gigi was better than Neddy in 2003.

Congratulations Pavel, what a superb player you are. :star:

but why? nedved made us go forward and play. often he seemed to be alone on the pitch running like crazy. but buffon saved us more times. our defence was not much better last year, but buffon played better. and he took us to what we achieved. without buffon even nedved would not had saved us.

Nedved deserved it 100%!!!

Of course also Buffon was fundamental 4 us, but this kind of prices are nearly impossible to get 4 a goalkeeper... anycase... I hope he will win it too in the next years but this time Nedved was the one! He really deserved it!
