I too, like many others, criticise Zlatan for holding on to the ball a little too much, but sometimes it works in our advantage. What I do not like to see is people showing favoritism, and giving or not giving credit where it is due. Too frequently I see favoritism towards Del Piero, when he does not deserve the praise he recieves.
People complain and moan during matchdays when Del Piero sits out for Zlatan and Zalayeta, when the latter two deserve to be fielded, not Del Piero. Like I said we will lose a lot of fans once Del Piero's time is up.
Oh, give me a few examples on how I have been too harsh on our Captain? And if by harsh, you mean truthful, than that does not work.

Let's picture something, DP in Zlatan's position at Bayern = dive in an attempt to get free kick or penalty = referee waving it off = NO GOAL = No win for la Juve.
Of course, picture Miccoli in DP's position = same thing as before = goal after Zlatan Brilliance! = Win for Bianconero
DP is great, but until I see him produce a quality performance that show more than TAP-IN goals, I'll pull Zalayeta in his place and let DP sub in for him after 60 min.

Lemme get this straight, would you take Zlatans dribbles or Alex's tap-ins?
This is rubbish. I don't understand why this keeps coming up. Del Piero was there because that is where strikers go: to the GOAL. It does not matter whether Del Piero was there to recieve a pass, finish an effort, or even have a nice little chat with Olly. It did not take any amount of brilliance to get to Alex's location in front of Kahn, rather, it did take brilliance to get around two defenders to carry the ball in the box to make the goal. No matter how you look at it, Zlatan's job was much more difficult than Alex's.

DP - 1 penalty, 3 tap-ins, 1 great goal from outside the area.
Zlatan - 1 Dribbling goals, 1 finish, 1 header, 1 steal from a defender\slot, 1 chest volley.
Frankly, I think DP has only 1 assist, compared to Zlatan's 6 or 7. What i am trying to tell you is that if you had somebody else in DP's place, that person would have 3 tap in goals. Other than his clean shot against Roma, Ale has failed to produce.
No need to roll your eyes. Show me some quality, then I will lean towards your argument.
