And btw, I'm not criticising Zlatan here, it just doesn't seem very fair to bash Del Piero that much. Why does the possibility that we're getting Mutu immediately implies that people are going to bash Del Piero?
Because there are so many people that dont want Mutu to come just because they're afraid he'd take Alex' place.

Then bash those people, but don't bash Alex. I'm Ale's biggest fan and I really want Mutu to come. It just isn't very fair to criticise Ale on a consistent base while Zlatan can do no wrong.

DP's "shot" was sublime though.....I'm sorry, but the clock was winding down and if Zlatan didn't dribble those players and force that save/blunder (whatever you wanna call it......Zlatan still caused it) DP wouldn't have scored and more importantly, Juve wouldn't have won.

I'm the first to say that Zlatan can do wrong, and I've critisized him when he deserved it, and I will continue to do so.

But fact is that he is currently more effective for the team than Alex.

What are you talking about, it's Football, it's team-work , ofcoarse without Zlatan Dp wouldn't have scored, so whats the big deal now? Dp sucks without Zlatan?? is it that way?

Nobody said that DP is useless without Zlatan, but to say that Zlatan shouldn't be given credit for the goal simply because his shot wasn't great isn't really fair to Z

this would be some news.just a fortnight after he is sacked for taking drugs he joins another high profile club in the league where he made his name.

it would be a good move,as long as we don't have top pay his salary till the ban ends,or at least if he takes a pay cut for the time being.
OK Desmond you asked for it.

Mutu si allena con la Juve?
Mutu trains with Juventus?
12 11 2004

From FIFA good news for Adrian Mutu, the Chelsea Player recently banned for seven months for being found positive to cocaine. The player has been banned also Internationally (including NT and Euro Cups) but he has got permission to train with professional teams.

That means that starting tomorrow, Mutu could train with any team in this world. According to some he could soon join Juventus team in order to train without any contract nor any compensation.

Of course Alex wouldn't have scored, but I think that in this play Alex did more right than Zlatan. Zlatan's action was pretty egocentric and he didn't even finish good, whilst Ale was where he should be.
Oh come on, if that's not some Del Piero favoritism I don't know what is. I do not see how it is reasonable to criticise a player's actions when what he did created a goal. What Zlatan did was far more difficult than Alex's tap in, and in your reasoning you could say that Del Piero was 'lucky' to be in that position. You could even say that if it was not for Zlatan holding up the ball, Alex would not have been in that position to score. So I find Zlatan's contribution for the goal greater than Alex's.

Can Mutu take Alex's spot? Of course he can. Adrian has even outplayed Alex in the past few years, stemming from when he was at Parma.

I agree. Let's face it, Alex is not what he used to be, he will need a replacement one day, and I think Mutu can do the job.
He is fast and intelligent. I'd rather Mutu than Cassano, and why? Because the child has an uneccesarily large ego. He would be too difficult to handle.

Of course Mutu can take Ale's spot. Del Piero was way better than Mutu years ago, but ATM Mutu outplays Ale.

Zlatan's shot was egocentric, which is alright if it atleast had been good. Furthermore you do show a lot of Zlatan favouritism and you constantly criticise Del Piero even without any reason to do so.

My original point was: why bash Ale, while we're talking about Mutu?

Yes, but what Alex did was more important that what Zlatan did, even if Alex's shot was one of the easiest shots in the history of football. Of course Zlatan helped the goal a lot, but if Del Piero wouldn't be in the right time and in the right place, we wouldn't have won.

I hope we get Mutu, he is a great player and has proved he can cut it in Serie A.

As for DP, his performances have been absolutely awful, against Fiorentina he constantly gave the ball away. I'm fed up of people going on about what he has done in the past. In the present - which is all important - he should be on the subs bench.

Hopefully in 7 months time we'll see Adrian in a Juve shirt.
