These MS-13 members are getting younger.
Nice one, however they’re Honduran, decent effort on the joke.

Don’t want to break families up, that’s nice of them.

I appreciate your concern, no need to worry, I am a legit tax paying American who contributes to my Nation, California, and the public.

So are those children.

Doesn't mean you can't be shipped to El Salvador.

Citizenship means nothing.
Parents can’t take their kids to other places?

I wish that were good enough.

When there is a slippery slope, there's nothing to stop the slide.

Not to make this another reference to the poetry of Pastor Martin Niemöller, but one observation I've had among the locals here in Portugal is how the Salazar dictatorship created a lot of conflicting laws. This is how human societies work. The conflicting and overlapping laws were set up so that any citizen at any time could be in violation and thus have any seemingly legitimate reason for being arrested and imprisoned.

Thus with all citizens breaking some law at all times, the administration was empowered to operate entirely by "selective enforcement" of said laws. Examples were as trivial as conflicting rules about what side of a certain street you could park on for which days of the week and up to what cross streets. Layers of laws ensured that a citation could be brought up at any time to impound your car.

If they found a reason to consider you a problem or even so much as inconvenient, because you wanted to resist the government's new claim on your property for eminent domain use, you had no recourse. And the Trump administration isn't even bothering with the recognition of any laws of theirs to achieve a political goal right now.

So your confident defense of "they won't come after me" is merely a defense of convenience and not actual legal rights.

Not that I am overly concerned for your safety, because mostly I think you're right. But right now it's like Covid is spreading through the U.S. and you're healthy, but you also have no health insurance. Circumstances can change in a heartbeat.

I would never be in that position.

BONANZA!

btw taxing consumption instead of revenue isn't necessary a terrible idea. they should just introduce a federal level vat instead of general and high tariffs. eu and most of asia has vat/gst and they work fine. also the timing to introduce vat would be terrible (as it is with tariffs) as inflation is high enough without consumption based taxes

Sounds like Americans can sit out paying taxes again for at least a while

Way to take it out of context.
You paying taxes is the only difference between you and those children.

But honestly why are we even debating anymore? You literally said that you do not care as long as it does not affect you. So you will not care up to the point they arrest and detain you personally. All that matters in this world to you is you.

Yeah bro, that’s never going to happen. Doesn’t make any sense.

This made me LOL
Btw, you might not know how Trump pretty much financially imploded an entire professional football league once? Because he was mad that the NFL and its commissioner because didn't recognize his genius and wouldn't award him a team, and so he played wrecking ball on a budding rival league.

True story, bruh. More comedy than the European Super League, but less drama.

Though the supporting character, Herschel Walker, was involved heavily. A sports wrecking ball if ever there was one: he was at the center of the end of the USFL, and he single-handedly destroyed the Minnesota Vikings' chances of ever winning a Super Bowl (to Dallas' benefit). The guy even lost Trump Georgia in the US Senate in 2022.
