It's kinda weird to me to see intelligent people getting so deeply involved on an emotional level. I suppose there some policy differences between the two that could matter to someone, like economic policies, women's rights, etc. But they still don't give a fugg about you or your interests, and only serve people and corporations working in the shadows. Yet people take it all so personally.

Who wins? Look at the supreme court, foreign policy decidions or immigration figures, it certainly matters on those fronts but yes both candidates more serve their own or donor interests than the common individuals doesnt mean there arent significant policy differences

At face value maybe, but it goes deeper than that. Politics are a reflection of your core beliefs. If, for example, you really believe that Hillary Clinton is a Satanist pedophile lizard person and I support her, then I by extension am supporting Satanist pedophile reptile activities.

In all seriousness though for me personally, I do believe that Trump at some level attempted to weaken our Democratic process with the stunts that he pulled around the last election. To me, he is a threat to our Republic, and as such I do find it "concerning" to put it lightly when people adamantly support him because by extension they support weakening of our democratic process and safeguards.

I know there are some differences, immigration being a big one. You're right, it does matter somewhat. But there are many people who can get the job done, yet it's two massive clowns up there. And people hate everyone on the other side over those two. It's like everyone is under some kind of hypnosis where they feel the need to participate in the clown show.

I shouldn't have suggested that it doesn't matter. I just can't help watching the debates, the pundits' reactions, people on the internet losing their minds, at the same time knowing all the candidates and officials are plants, and thinking... how are people falling for this shit?

Its heavily rigged/ stacked but its not all a facade, it does matter and can be improved. I think trump actually is the obe who proved that when he successfully commited a hostile takeover of the republican party. Especially impressive when you consider he is not a career politician, unlike everyone else in DC. Unfortunately, he was doing it for his own benefit but he proved it to be possible

Just wanted to give you props for being exactly right about the impact of Kamala Harris replacing Biden as the democrats nominee. one never knows what will happen to shape the race from here. A stock market collapse or big recession starting, a new war erupting with US involvement, etc etc. So many things could change the calculus from here to November and flip the election on its head…

But Harris as his opponent has absolutely made profoundly evident just how old, feeble-minded, crazy, and ridiculous Trump is. That’s been evident since the day she started campaigning, but the debate last night highlighted to an absurd degree. Younger, smarter, sharper, more energetic… she made Trump look like a ranting and raving, old and irrelevant buffoon.
