Coal-fired power plants to close after new wastewater rule

https://news.yahoo.com/coal-fired-power-plants-close-152928997.html

Imposing new regulations while we're close to a full blown energy crisis with nat gas and propane prices through the roof? It's like they love the inflation! Meanwhile, Europe is running coal powered plants at full blast.

Coal is 19th century technology. Get over it.

He was an aspiring artist brought down and hindered by the white patriarchy.

the system let him down…

his girlfriend deserved to be punched and run over by him so that $1000 bond was probably too high.

Ahmaud Arbery killers found guilty. Good.

Justice system did its job in finding these redneck bigots guilty and in finding Kyle Rittenhouse innocent.

Unfortunately imbeciles in the mainstream media trying to portray that the cases are the same and both should have been found guilty, and imbeciles on faux news/alt right news trying to portray cases are the same and both should have been found innocent.

Pretty clear Rittenhouse did nothing wrong by America’s laws while these rednecks hunted a man down, cornered, and killed him.

People who say KR should've been charged with murder are mahoosive planks. But how did he not get punished for illegal firearm possession and going out to look for trouble?

Don't know if it's the law, the geriatric judge, or what happened there.

Black people protesting do have a point even if overblown. Historically they've gotten longer sentences for far less. Lol at people getting thrown in jail for weed possession and this idiot of the highest order doesn't even get a slap on the wrist.

Arbery’s case needed a hell of a lot of serendipity and dumb luck to prosecute. I think the justice system succeeded in spite of itself.

For the firearm possession, I had the same question.

It's a bit of a strange law, they almost might as well not even have one with how narrow it seems to be.

While it took some luck for the evidence needed to actually appear, the McMichaels attorney leaking the murder video was a giant self-own; the Justice system used that evidence and came to a correct verdict. These guys hunted down a jogger with no justifiable cause and murdered him when he tried to defend himself.

What is strange or narrow about this? A 17 y/o can possess a long gun in public but not a handgun.

Probably because handguns are concealable, used in 99% of gun violence and useless for hunting. It makes sense and isn't this obscure loophole ABC wants to make it out to be.

They are just trying to explain why they lied for months about something that was easily fact checkable and most people who live in a state like Wisconsin probably knew.

You’d be surprised how much rednecks love hunting. People do literally hunt squirrels. Not in urban areas obviously but still, it’s technically legal which is the best kind of legal.

I just think it's weird. I understand why it's as it is, but it's not as though you cannot kill people with a long gun. If the purpose is to allow kids to hunt, this law could definitely be made to be more specific in what you could do or how the gun/ammunition would have to be transported for example.

But more importantly, happy Thanksgiving my fellow Muricans
