it does mean a higher percentage of Americans voting
I know, but why can’t they adapt? They adapted to voting rights act of 1965, no?
More importantly, why do the president and RNC chairwoman openly advocate for something this undemocratic? It used to be that we’re against fraud, but I don’t see any justification for this.

they’re afraid they can’t, same reason they restrict voting

presidents base doesn’t know what’s democratic or un democratic, and those those that vote for the president from outside the base have already decided the whatever reason the vote for the president is more important than a democratic voting process

Ah, but correlation is not causation.

So is this coming from the Times, or is it coming from the zeitgeist that the Times sees the need to cover? In other words, if a newspaper doesn't report on trans people, do they cease to exist?

Usually the formula of media is a mix of both. It's a bit of a 69 with the media-consuming public.

Though to be said, what city police department recommends that you fight back if someone is going for your phone? That's standard procedure in any jurisdiction. You don't know if the person is armed, you don't know if the person is a mental case and is hyped up on crank, and hey ... it's just a phone.

Even the Art of Manliness says "give the mugger what he wants":

What are people expecting for a suggested response? Carry your Glock and plug a cap in his forehead?

Maybe explain what they (the city and PD) plan to do about it rather than a "good luck try not to get shot cause the criminals have free reign now" but I guess that comment actually does tell us what they plan to do about it...

Those recommendations are evergreen though. This is exactly like saying drink plenty of water and stay out of the sun when it's August and the thermometer hits 95. It's what you can do about it.

In fact, it would be malpractice and irresponsible for a police department to stay quiet about it and not remind residents of what they can do. Because residents sure as hell can't make a 95-degree sunny day go away, and neither can the mayor.

This smacks of whining and suggests residents are toothless morons who have no influence over their personal safety without someone first giving it to them.

Because the process is super flawed, if you want to vote get your ass to a polling station with a valid ID, same you would if you wanted to pull out money it do anything important.
So why instead of suggesting To fix the process POTUS is saying mail in voting makes it impossible for republicans to win? Seriously it’s obvious what he’s suggesting.

I wasn't aware of what triggered the conversation, i just think mail in voting can only really be used on a small scale, i don't think we have the process to handle mass mail in votes.

it’s funny how easier access to voting is only bad for the republicans. If it was the integrity of the mail in system at stake, you’d see the Democrats complain just as much but that’s not why. It’s because more people can vote.

Great thing about America/Democracy is that the Head of State doesn't get to rule what's legal and what's not.

I always found it fascinating that they've never had a single dictator in their entire history. It's pretty admirable and I'm cheering for you, my American friends.
