There is a bias, yes, I've seen tweets by Jihadists on Facebook and twitter not taken down. But Alex Jones should be the last guy to complain about getting cancelled. If he was on Tuz, he would be permabanned too.
I agree too. I'm no fan of AJ, but I'm also no fan of the ridiculous double standard the left gets to enjoy every single day.

Oh they notice it. The people here chatting now are smart enough to know how warped things are.
Social science wise I agree about the bias being too left leaning, especially when it comes to things like the gender pay gap (a myth) But would you agree that as far as actual science goes, the bias is correct because the mainstream right is wrong about everything ranging from climate change, evolution and vaccines.

He has a bridge in DC area (VA to MD). It's a damn fine bridge too.
Pretty sure he didn’t build it :p
Wilson was an unapologetic racist but he pushed for some reforms too. I don’t consider him the worst president in the presence of likes of Hoover and Buchanan.

For the most part, yes. I think science can be genuine. I do believe there are biases in science too because "follow the money", unfortunately. But I do believe people go into the science field to make positive changes for the overall good of humanity.

Wait for the bridge to be renamed now...

I’m surprised it hasn’t already. Princeton removed his name from the buildings. He was their before becoming governor and then POTUS.

Why do you think I keep reiterating your "because democracy" in my other posts? My point is, one guy won either change it in November or channel the hysteria into something more useful and productive.
Unlike what you think, I'm not saying the hysteric reaction to opposing views is contradicting democracy. I'm saying it happens because we know this is a democracy in which our say in the affairs is limited to our mere vote. What's contradicting democracy is to say that this country was always a capitalist system and has to remain one. Sorry, no, not if the majority think otherwise. Not accepting this is contradictory to democracy.

Ultimate know it all progressive who thought he had the solution to everything but whose missteps we still live with to this day

If you have time check out part one too i think you'd like it.
I’m reading or I should say listening to a book on progressive age. Haven’t got to the Wilson part yet. Based on my commute I’ll be ready to talk about him next week.

You have much ad hominem and hate for the orange prez, but between you and me you are the last person id ask about anything of substance.
You are right. Unlike you, I am bothered when nurses and doctors have to wear garbage bags in place of protection suits in covid-infested hospitals. I also cannot remain impartial when the orange prez sends police to beat up peaceful protesters, exercising their constitutional rights, so he can take a photo op with a bible. Or when the Russian prez puts bounty on the heads of US soldiers but his fuckboi, the US prez, covers it up.

To me, the biggest threat to the American way of life and what used to make this country great is when the Trump administration interferes with the judicial branch to overturn or completely eliminate investigations and convictions. You remember that vague idea of separation of powers US Democracy is supposed to be built around?
Or when the orange prez comes out and tells everyone he has "Absolute Power" and openly incites division among the people, politicizing a dangerous pandemic, an act that has cost and will cost hundreds of thousands of lives.
Well, that's just a short list of things that bother me, things I see as a real threat to what once made America great.

You, otoh, what you are bothered by are a couple of idiots that occupied a couple of blocks in Seattle or a far-left twitter rant. The problem is, none of these acts will bear more consequence than a fart in a stiff wind and yet you focus on them as if they are an existential threat.
What you fail to understand is that these examples of extreme behavior are mere symptoms, not the disease that causes them. Hence the red-herring comment ...

 you actually believe the oppression narrative, it's amazing how you live a life you couldn't possibly dream of in your home country but feel there is oppression in the US.
Well, I merely quoted the US declaration of independence. Now, quoting say the Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus, that would be way out of my league ;)
So, your standard for greatness is that, as long as the US is better than say North Korea, this country is on the right course? When did "better than (enter a garbage country here), therefore we are great" became the new slogan for greatness?

Well, I am one. And the general "feeling" within the ranks is that this Admin has our backs. The same for Obama whom I also served under (briefly). And you can be sure there is a healthy mix of the political spectrum and many share the same concerns many of you have but here we are..ready to serve. So when I see you and a few others claim the President doesn't give a shit about soldiers I will politely disagree and leave it there. There are some things you guys argue about him I can agree with but that isn't one of them.

I'm sorry to both you and myself, because i keep going back on my word and try to engage with you seriously and then i see peaceful protesters lol that first part had more spin than a dj premier track. i think you are a swell guy (except for your fantasy trades) but in these matters the divide is just too wide.
