My sir there is no such thing as stolen, moral of the story: don't lose wars.
I'm with this logic. Like everything of Genghis Khan, the Moors, the Ottoman Empire, the Roman Empire, etc., amounts to "stolen land".
Look, if you aren't living in the same village in Ethiopia for the past 30,000+ years, guess what? You are an invader. Calling someone "Indigenous" is a lie in the same regard. They aren't. "Native Hawaiians" are just invading Polynesians, who themselves were invaders.
Now China be talking about Taiwan like it's stolen land.
Don't worry. If Biden wins, he won't be in office for more than a year anyway. He will be declared incompetent just before his second year, and he will be what most of us have thought all along. President by Proxy for Kamala Harris.
Kamala Harris is a mouthpiece and is otherwise useless and, IMO, awful. Way worse than Biden, and Biden is essentially only a few appendages off from being a benign tumor. Her ego is as bad as Trump's. She just expresses it differently.
SMH
I get the feeling that the energy there is in the younger progressive crowd/ candidates. The establishment has to court that energy but them and their donors don't actually want someone like that.
You end up having to pick dinosaurs who are the remaining party men with name recognition/ money and the pickings are slim hence "ridinwithBiden"
Interesting point, really. While Barack was black and young, and thus an anomaly to this, you could suggest that the candidates we get represents the money that brings them in: old white people from a bygone era.
Is trump really evil or he just an ‘idiot’ or pretends to be one. Because we have to define ‘evil’ here.
Remember, even choosing ‘lesser’ evil, you’re still choosing evil.
Choosing between Biden and Trump is very hard. If i were voting, id skip and go rather fishing that day.
I think I would have to lump Trump in the evil category the same way I would lump George Wallace in that category. Wallace lost his original attempts to win election as governor in Alabama, but realized if he could champion segregation he'd have a lock on his politics to keep him in office. So he clearly changed his morals to fit what would get him elected.
Trump is the same kind of opportunist in my book. The morals don't matter -- if it gets him in office, it justifies the means. Both are true populists.
No, sometimes, not voting shows that youre not part of something you dont agree with anything they represent (which might not be the case with Trump/Biden) There was a time I had to choose for mayor in my town, there were two despicable morons (who had many corruption scandals). I decided to draw a crap on both of their names. Which meant invalid vote.
This, I'm afraid, is how the younger generation is completely failing liberal democracy right now.
What's the problem with the people not wanting to wear a mask. Height of selfishness in my opinion.
I'm not sure it's even just selfishness. There's something wrong there. Now I was used to seeing Asians in masks years ago -- largely as fallout of their experiences with SARS. It seemed odd, but whatever. But going from that to an existential threat is a bit of mental illness.
It makes me wonder if some of these people were molested by superheroes as kids, given their mask horror responses.
I don't think there's any active war zones in the world with similar numbers over the weekend
Reading the headlines from over here this morning, all of the US, not just Chicago, looked like a warzone. A lot of Americans murdering each other over the holiday weekend.
Chicago is a disaster. 8 year olds are being shot while riding innocently in their cars with their parents. Absolutely zero outrage there.
So much murder, in fact, that you confused the Chicago child murder with the Atlanta one over the weekend.
