This has really been a wakeup call as to how dangerous something like Twitter is with how it can amplify a handful of radical voices to make it seem like ideas are much more popular than they really are and how effective that is in mobilizing gullible, desperate to popular folks into ridiculous actions.

I get that, and I really don't care about those stupid ass statues either. But the notion you can change history by tearing down an object of the past is nonsensical and points to a primitive nature of destructiveness. If one tries hard enough, you can find something insulting and repulsive about anything. Look, I just tore down this statue.

Cop got 180 days in jail for what is a blatant murder. No chance you can justify this as a mistake or self defense and this barely even made the local news up there.
