Is there something im missing here? Is disband being used synonymously with reform? What's the end game?
Basically replace it with other, more specialized "community-based" things. SOME points brought up I can agree with, but I think it's too much to call for an abolition of the police. No one's robbing a bank because they're poor.

Right

 that's the thing here, I think discourse between two parties that want opposite things is the best course of action, meeting somewhere in the middle but that doesn't seem possible

Definitely not. There's just so much built up anger towards the system at this point, it's impossible.

At the very least, we'll see how things work out for Minneapolis in the coming months.

I think he's getting anxious. Also the type of SMS, emails, etc he sends to his fanbase that are circulating all over the Internet is alike a cult behavior

His opponents are caving to the radicals in the democrat party. They are literally working to defund the police. If they do it in one city they will start doing it in others like a wild fire.

if democrats think this is how to win everyone outside of big cities then good luck.

like I said...they are literally handing him another 4 years and you think Biden has a stellar record to fall back on with minorities?

“If you don’t vote for me, then you ain’t black”

Trump is anything but anxious

Biden is going to lose

I'm genuinely curious, so were reperations a proposal made way back when? People are calling for it now, how would that even work, who is paying? How do you pay it?

I don't know much about US politics, however I think Trump's going to lose. Him being disapproved by important figures is getting traction (Mattis, now Powell) and he's dividing his country more by the day.

In 2016 few people knew what kind of president he'd be, and a lot of people judged him to be the lesser evil compared to Hillary and he barely won. Provided Biden doesn't fuck up and even if he's senile, should he shut up he'll be winning this
