On a serious note, the protests are more than justifiable but the looting of people's small businesses has to stop.

I am amazed how someone has still not shot them.

I don't believe them for a second, but chances are the unemployment numbers will improve over time unless we have a second shutdown. Need to see if there are any lingering impacts outside of the service sector as the shutdown filters through the system. We'll just kick the can when it comes to the other structural problems in the economy.

But you have to hand it to the Trump administration. Employment trends improving, service sector employees working again, stock market surging, airline and service-related stocks much higher, small investors making a killing on the rebound, oil higher but not too high keeping US rigs online, riots slowing down, Covid out of the news, et cetera. Only up from here, so enjoy the summer. Incredibly bad news all around for bears and Democrats alike.

Hand it to the administration for what? The decision to lockdown and then ease it was at state level. Trump admin had one job of ramping up testing quick which they failed to do.

While you are correct and a cop isn't there to issue and execute death sentences, that guy had more mugshots done for various crimes than a teenage girl has selfies. He was filth and his death makes earth a better place, and now he gets a whole memorial and a golden coffin with celebrities and politicians mourning as if JFK died. Only reason for all that courtesy: His case was the rare exception of a black guy being killed by a white cop.

My small hometown in Ohio has reports of a violent protest circulating. Apparently police a little while ago chased down box trucks with pallets of bricks as well. One car pulled over had Minnesota tags.
