1.) I see your argument, but I think the focus of the Repubs was simply the senate. They had to choose, and made their focus on the upper chamber. I think they knew the House was a long shot to either gain or simply hold.
2.) Are you saying the loud minority on each side don't threaten to close the gov down?
3.) If you're mad about Trump's selective justice on Biden, I can't imagine the anger you (should) feel towards the Russian conspiracy fiasco pushed by the Dems. That's partially my point. Let's impeach trump where actual evidence exits, but lets not hold anyone accountable for some shitty document that was unverified to begin with to build a case to impeach an elected president. If you aren't mad about that, but are made about the Ukraine call to investigate, then not much else to discuss. And yes, the best way to investigate foreign crimes tied to Americans overseas is via the DOJ/FBI (whom do that all the time). To your last point, after the House committees changed nearly every precedent from prior impeachents, now you are up in arms over whether or not he can claim executive privilege as every other president before him has used? If the transcript was released and the Ukraine president himself said he wasn't pressured, what's left to discuss? It would be one thing if the Ukrainians said yeah, that' was odd or yeah this also happened behind the scenes, then yes you have a point. But that didn't happen.
4.) Slap him on the wrist, I don't care. That's not what happened here, not even close. The democrats have been calling for impeachment since before he was elected. If anyone needs a slap on the wrist its the leaders of that party. You turned the worlds most powerful intelligence agencies into political machines. Shame on them.

I guess the conversation is moot at this point.
Peoples minds are made up, they have seen enough. I've made up my mind as you know, I know I have certainly seen enough. Thanks for the friendly chat Ronn.
