Privatised healthcare doesn't work, because everyone needs healthcare. It's just basic economics.

Yeah let's ingnore finland is about dallas population wise or that 90% of r&d is done in the us because it is privately run, you're welcome parasites.
Yeah, no.

Also, population is a total myth. If you can use a system for 5 million people, you can use it for 50 and 500 million people too. Any imaginable healthcare problem you have with 5 million people, you encounter with 50 million people too, as long as your infrastructure is up for the challenge. And in the US, it honestly should be.

Yeah no is a great argument, as for the rest no it doesn't work like that the bigger the machine the higher the complecity and ergo the rate of inefficiency. Also we are talking about completely different cultures, america has to be probably the most gluttonous one.

It just isn't the case. It's friggin' impossible for one nation to do 90% of r&d. And if you're strictly talking about healthcare related r&d, that's even more absurd.

More volume doesn't equal higher complexity. It just means more people can resist change. You're right about the culture. I think virtually everything that is wrong with America probably comes down to gluttony in some form or shape.

In 2004, U.S. medical R&D spending represented 57 percent of the global total. By 2014, the U.S. share had fallen to 44 percent.

And that's spending. Doesn't mean they come up with 44 percent of the results either.

The percentage of the results is not a good metric anyway. But we all can agree US is not doing 90% of the R&D.
