Draining the swamp :mut:

Now NN is dead and nobody besides like 10 people seems to give a shit or even know

It's mindboggling how little people seem to care about this. Talk about selling out to multinationals btw.. Complete crook they have for a president.

Haley writes: "As you consider your vote, I encourage you to know the president and the US take this vote personally. The president will be watching this vote carefully and has requested I report back on those who voted against us," she continued.

This really sounds as if she has no experience in diplomacy whatsoever. At least not at that level. I mean, of course the US takes note who voted for or against a certain issue. The UN general assembly takes some of the most important decisions in the world. I expect most countries to know, or at the very least to want to know, how other countries voted on major issues.

The bitch tries to make it sounds like a threat, but really it's something you ought to be fucking doing in the first place. Oh, and you're supposed to never mention it out loud and quietly pressure other countries, offer them quid pro quo deals and actually get shit done behind the scenes. That's what a diplomat does.

This is Trump's red line (similar to Obama's chemical weapons red line in Syria). I wonder if he's really going to cut the aid to Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt and Pakistan, or he just said it in jest and nobody will take his BS seriously.

She said "the United States will remember this day in which it was singled out for attack in the General Assembly for the very right of exercising our right as a sovereign nation."

"We will remember it when we are called upon once again to make the world's largest contribution to the United Nations," she said. "And we will remember when so many countries come calling on us, as they so often do, to pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit."

Haley said Thursday's vote "will make a difference on how Americans look at the U.N. and on how we look at countries who disrespect us in the U.N., and this vote will be remembered."

No country is more capable of making such audacious Hollywoodesque remarks in the UN than the US.

Red lines have PR purposes imo, even if he does cut aid to those countries, it won't be because they voted in favor of declaring his decision null.

Did you see this:

Danny Danon, Israel's Ambassador to the U.N., held up a coin he said is from 67 AD and bears the words -- in Hebrew -- "Freedom of Zion."

He said it is "clear evidence … that proves the ancient connection of Jews to Jerusalem."

"No UNESCO declaration, no empty speeches, no General Assembly resolution will ever drive us from Jerusalem," he said. "These are the facts this body does not want to hear. These are the facts this body wishes to ignore."

my god
