Trump claimed today he had "the biggest electoral college win since Reagan," with 306 EC votes.

Reporters called him out on it (Obama won by way more twice (332 and 365) and Clinton once (379)) and asked why they should trust him if he uses fake statistics. He tried to explain that he meant the Republican side only, and reporter pointed out that George HW Bush crushed his numbers (426).

Trump responds "I don't know, I was just given that information. It was a big margin."

Dude literally lies out both sides of his mouth and has the gall to call out the media for lying.

And there will be one.

He's completely unprepared for this job, he's incredibly underqualified, has obvious mental issues because of his narcissism and he's pretty damn old too.

Most importantly though he's a liability to everyone involved. There's no real way of knowing what he'll do next or how far he'll go.
This, if there's too young there should also be too old

@Seven

The last bit of this piece is what's really scary:

His supporters see this shit and somehow it reinforces their dogmatic belief in this shameless idiot.
With everything else he has done you could still make the argument that he is simply underqualified and doesn't know what he's doing.

But this 'fake news' thing is sheer evil. It is deliberately undermining the press so that when they report about his blunders or soon to come downright crimes, they won't be believed. It's dictatorlike.

I also think it will be his downfall. Imo he's overestimating the amount of support he has. If he'd actually won the popular vote with a significant margin, I'd be worried. Today I think it's just a matter of time.

FFS, it gets even stranger.

Team Trump sent out this email to their supporters after the press conference yesterday.

The definition of a sore winner. Someone needs to tell him that he's the president now.

I don't get it. Why does he feel the need to make blatantly idiotic provable lies in every other friggin interview or press conference? It's baffling level of incompetence. It's clearly prevalent in his entire staff with daily contradictions trying to massage bogus statements. But so much of it so unucessary it makes you wonder, how the ego of one simple man requires a machinery of constant propaganda tactics.

It's sad and funny that many of disproven statements are answered by a vague I was just given that information. Almost believable, like he has machevellian pretend yes man that just feeds him random stuff.

I consider the US to be on par with Rwanda or the Philippines right now. Fucking dangerous to go there imo.

Btw they have a huge history of wrong convictions based on emotion rather than fact as well.

well it is a nice move for his popularity, well played. he has been owning Western media for many months and seems like he intends to continue

here in Latvia we have ~5 radio stations, 2 television channels and internet news site completely funded by the state, for years they have been the most trustworthy and professional sources, head and shoulders above public sector journalists. region funded media is shite though
