Globalisation and mechanisation is more like it.

Plus unequal taxing and incentives of financial industry vs actual industry.
If anything, globalization and mechanization would help. Sure, a lot of our shit was made in China but that just means that factories here produce the final product instead of the components.

And mechanization means we make them faster, not less

maybe, but that's not the case for all goods. plenty of automakers have moved their plants to america for example.

people would still buy it. the whole point of apple products is that you pay too much on purpose to pay for your own happiness

like starbucks with their expensive coffee

Im not doubting the fact the people will still buy it, the truth is that you as government should create special conditions for companies so they wont move their productions abroad, because in the end of the day all that matters are the workplaces, the taxes and the growing up GDP

Even they import many details from abroad, they don't create all 100% of details for cars at their factories
Yeah, that's the case with companies all over the world

No, it means that with little tariffs and cheap transportation methods anything not dependant on skilled labout will be produced elsewhere - as has happened the past few decades.

And mechanisation does mean more production (if the machines are cheaper than imports from low wage countries), but it also means a lot less factory jobs.
