Where to begin? The DoJ, the State Department, the CDC, the FBI, HHS, the Dept of Agriculture, the Dept. of Labor for food safety ... he's been a one-man loyalist wrecking ball without even replacing any damages with anything of his own image.
FBI was destroyed by the last admin. The DOJ by Obama’s “wingman”.
It’s like you went down the google list of federal institutions and pasted them here.

It is opinion. And you're right that institutions do get encrusted with cronies of past ideals and the deadwood needs to be cleaned out from time to time. But it's one thing to apply a wrecking ball. It's another to leave it in that state without a follow up plan. Repeal without replace is disabling and kind of the hallmark of incompetence, really.

And in terms of the checks and balances on executive abuse of power and most international measures of a healthy democracy, the immune system of American democracy has pretty much been destroyed. If you felt Obama was the worst president ever, Trump has opened the door for Biden to be even worse.
Biden has opened the door to himself by kneeling to the extreme leftists idiots dragging that party further down the hell hole it’s going. Biden’s spineless actions makes it no ones fault but his own. He rode on the coat tails of Obama and now without a plan is trying to latch onto whatever wave the AOCs and BLMs are creating knowing the media will literally cover for him.

- - - Updated - - -

DNC chose him because they know he won’t dissent to his party’s popular opinions of the people in charge. Trump was elected on the exact opposite and you know that by how hard republicans pushed back when he announced in 2016.

Our system is sick and anyone in the DNC certainly isn’t the cure. If wasn’t Hilary and sure wont be Biden.

if Obama was so glorious for EIGHT YEARS and 90% of the media that reaches millions all fawned over him, how was Trump elected?

Maybe you see Biden a lot more active than I do. But from Portugal it looks like Biden has been taking a nap in his coffin for the past few months.

That’s the problem. He doesn’t need to do anything because it’s basically known he is going to do whatever the New Democrats want him to do. He has already taken a knee so to speak.

if you’re OK with Biden being walked on a leash by the Ilhans or AOC’s then vote for Biden. If you’re voting for Biden because you think he will actually accomplish something meaningful in his decades long political career then good luck :boh:

The 2018 midterms gave us a senate and stacked judicial nominations of lifetime appointments. If that’s a loss then I’ll take it. At least it’s still a check and balance situation.

In any case, the fact that people are still listening to polls and pundits is another issue for another day. The polls are skewed because people would rather lie on a poll than get harassed in public if people find out where they stand politically.

Some people that voted for trump but hated him did it because they knew how important the SCOTUS nomination was. RBG is on her death bed. You think people are going to stay home and sit on that when they didn’t in 2016?

I don't think Biden needs to lift a finger for "New Democrats" (whatever that exactly is) other than what gets him elected in 100 days. Right now my bet is he will certainly score more points with moderates than he will trying to fake he's Bernie With A Bat. Because young people don't vote and black votes won't count.

Not to exhume Nixon's Moral Silent Majority, but I think he can win with a strategy of rocking the boat as little as possible.

And that is the problem. It means Trump has dug such a bad hole for himself the worst thing Biden can do is open his mouth. Biden himself was nominated on Aug 23, a mere two days before the DNC convention. He's going to keep his mouth shut probably until the convention starts on Aug 17, because the longer he delays making news, the better for him. That just is. And that reflects how poor things have become.

Polls are definitely dubious at best.

Do you know how much obama abused the executive power :p once again it is obama that opened the door for one so reprehensible that people picked him over the rest because he promised to undo his predecessor's work. Biden is senile and everyone knows it, it will be just a continuation of the madness the first black president unleashed on this nation.

I appreciate that you take the time to engage in these conversations, also to multi-quote all of us with so much patience and composure :heart:

How can anyone call themselves patriotic and stands for this?

Ha, you are too kind, Hoori.

Yipes. I suppose one way to boost the ranks of the employed through the federal dole is to hire them as contractors to take down protestors. This starts to remind me a little of South Africa where private security seems to be the largest employer (“armed response”), helping to segregate the people with stuff from the people without stuff.

JFK was the best - got JFK'ed for being too radical.
I used to be all for Ron Paul - the country needs radical surgery and he had some good ideas. Ofcourse, some of his ideas were not too bright like abolishing education dept and a few others.
Can't really stand his son who is a jerk.
Trump's narcisstic personality got in his way - he came in as an outsider and people were ready to overlook his faults and give him a chance.
Obama was weak and bookish and got swayed by some really bad advice.
Biden is probably just going to be a puppet.
Andrew Yang seemed interesting.

Unfortunately, until the hyperpolarizing binary media is tamed, I doubt we're going to get much done.

Never felt that way about JFK. He always struck me more akin to the Pop Smoke of American presidents: young, relatively unaccomplished, but lionized as a supposed talent in hindsight mostly because he died young.

I wouldn't follow him to the grave, but I appreciated that he had some ideas that broke the status quo... which is always necessary. 8 of 10 ideas from anybody are usually crap though.

Disrupt the White House got its goal. Problem is that when you let the baboons ransack the halls of government and fling feces everywhere, it's good comedy and makes you feel you have a moment of revenge power in the beginning. But then when you actually want the office to work and need things to get done, you realize it's filled with rabid baboons flinging their feces -- and that's all you're gonna get. And that gets old fast when you need the office to actually function for something.

Obama was weak and bookish and got swayed by some really bad advice.
Biden is probably just going to be a puppet.
Andrew Yang seemed interesting.

I think America's best prospects for the next four years are to stop the bleeding -- and hope the voting public grows tired of treating sack dances against political opponents as the ultimate form of governance at the expense of actual progress.

America could do with more political parties. Abolish lobbyism with equal federal funding for political parties. Right now the hatred for each other is blinding promoting extremism and division.

Yep people hang onto polls as their lifeline for this next election. Things are so toxic for conservatives, especially around here and in DC, no one will say they are one for fear of retribution at work, with their friends, etc b/c of the cancel culture. I'm telling you guys, the polls are off. Cato did a study (poll lol) on it recently and it has been discussed at length on the radio around here for days now that supports that people are actually afraid to answer political polls. Ironic that it takes a poll to highlight people are fearful of being honest on a political poll...

https://www.cato.org/publications/s...they-have-political-views-theyre-afraid-share

Per the earlier points on Biden, I don't agree. I think its a bad sign for the left that they wish Biden speaks less. Likewise, its a bad sign on the right that they too wish Trump spoke/tweeted less. You'd want a strong candidate that isn't afraid to get stuck in (Bernie was good at this, he didn't have a problem throwing grenades and that's why his base was so loyal), but Biden ESPECIALLY in this tumultuous times, if he wants to be elected he should be out there offer solutions and not talking points he gets from others. Biden reeks of decades long politics. There is nothing likable about him like there was Obama.

- - - Updated - - -

Biden has been edging closer to the defund police mark where he has started saying they (the police) are the problem. If that's how the left wants to win independents to get him elected as the next President, good luck.

The farther one side goes, the other goes to the same extreme. Good luck bringing people like Stelter, Joe & Mika, and Joy Reid back to normality. If democrats knew how to lose an election (you know, the "insurance policy") you'd probably see more things getting done, even with the bickering that politics bring...

yeah, im helping a friend build a brick oven pizza in his backyard
Then you would know when concrete is still curing its weak and having a monsoon soak curing concrete with inches of rain is going to weaken it. Then add the wind.

Side note: I'd be curious to see the brick oven pizza when its done, I think it would be cool to build one at home so if you guys have a blueprint on making one feel free to share here
