Is that really any different than politics being based on religion as with many mainstream Republicans? It's all the same, they both reflect your core beliefs in the end.
The fact that you actually believe most of these Republicans actually base their political viewpoints on religion, you have proven my point. It's all Kabuki theater and they sway to the directions the lobbyist who paid their way tells them. They're only religion on both sides is power and money. To me it's laughable that most people put their faith and devotion into these corruptable people

You actually prove your own point perfectly when you say you believe most dems vote based on their sense of moral superiority.

Not really. Many social positions that Republicans hold are based in some way on religion. God is frequently invoked when discussing politics and on the campaign trail. At the last Republican debate in fact, I believe there was a question based on something like "do you believe God speaks to you" or something.

Republicans bring up God because they know their followers eat that shit up like candy. Don’t tell me the cunts who want privatized prisons, are racist, and want to pay as little tax as possible really believe in anything like God. If Jesus were to be revived right now, they’d call him a lazy communist bum.

It's called playing to your audience. I bet the percentage that actually practice their faith is very small on both sides

Although I think your a bit dramatic you're point goes for both sides. They tell their base and lobbyists what they want to hear

The ‘Murican political discourse is so fucking dumb. Using the word Kabuki to signify political posturing is retarded, all these American pundits like Rush Limbaugh and others who use it clearly have no idea what Kabuki theatre actually is.

This isn’t an insult to you, it’s an insult to lazy, retarded pundits on both sides who use a word like Kabuki to describe something that has little to do with what Kabuki actually is.

I said to me you can think it's bs but that's how I see it. Democratic voters , most not all , have made their political affiliation their defacto religion and it's blinds them to the shit their candidates do
Bullshit. Both sides are exactly the same in this regard. Republicans could give two shits about how corrupt and even criminal their politicians are, as long as they walk the party line and help pack the courts.

I guess you're right so let's you Orwellian theater because honestly so much fear mongering and identitarian bullshit on both sides it's all lip service for the most part. The sad part is a majority think that their party really cares about them

You're both talking politicians, I mean the supporters will leverage their faith or religion as reasons for their political positions. The most obvious one being abortion.

Supporters yes but that's their right the politicians on the other hand is all lip service. Most Republicans care as much about the unborn as Democrats actually care about women's rights. It's all bs
