That Trump visit to the troops.

Poor guys were told they’re getting a raise.
Also, it doesn't really count if you visit them after overwhelming criticism.

This dude is looking more ridiculous by the minute. The Republicans really ought to be thinking of exit strategies by this point.

Most economists say we are setting up for a recession.
:agree: And I'd believe it, within the next year or two. Futures are all down, bond yield curve inversion, global growth predictions revised down, etc. Trump's stupid tax plan probably pushed it back a bit with some needless stimulus and removed a tool for helping to fight it, but what can you do at this point?

Wait for rust belt pensions to disappear and point out the Flint, Michigan still doesn’t have drinking water while entire municipalities in Mexico do.

If we go by this:

https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/3178/text

Yes, that is considerably different (and more restrictive) than what is usually considered lynching.
I had thought lynching legally referred to removing someone from police custody by force. A few years back a BLM marcher was charged with lynching for trying to pull another marcher away from cops that were trying to arrest him. I figured the term became interchanged with racial murders when vigalante whites in the old times removed accussed black folks from jail to hang them before trial

This seems more like an unecessady expansion to already existing hate crime laws for political points.

I know this is a complete hail Mary, but any American on this forum, can you please take a few minutes of your time to contact your representatives and congressmen on behalf of my friend? Her father has been imprisoned and brought up on false charges in Bangladesh for act committed during the 1971 Liberation War. He was 10 years younger than they claim and wasn't even living in the country at the time. If found guilty, he will be executed.

I know it's off topic, sorry, but at this point I'm just doing what I can to spread the word further and hope for the best.
