MSM saying Hillary won the debates hands-down, from MSNC to CNN.
To be fair they would've done that in pretty much any case - but I do agree, at the beginning I was worried that he might actually win this thing, but as the debate went on Hillary came up on top more and more.

God I hate this stupid system of theatre criticism

It depends on what you're using to measure. To me, neither had any substance as it relates to the questions asked. Trump did well in pointing out the failures of the Clintons on trade. The MSM continues to focus on the birther nonsense, but nobody really cares about that apart from those who were going to vote for Hillary to begin with. I doubt this did much to change any independent vote -- in fact, I would wager to say Gary Johnson will be the benefactor.

CNN has a focus group of undecided voters, 18 out of 20 will now vote for Hillary based on this debate. Of course, this isn't reflected in the polls whatsoever.

Trump is such an ignorant buffoon. How anyone could actually vote for this moron is beyond me. He didn't make a single cogent point in that entire debate, instead spent it yelling nonsense and absurdities over top of Hillary and the moderator.

An absolute joke of a human being.

Based on polls, it would seem they are split 50/50 on who won the debate. Going through it now.
Online polls are a joke, don't pay any attention to them.

Trump would legalize it and make Murica great again! Freedom will come back to the USA!

Fuck wish I was American just so I can vote Trump
Not sure if trolling or Fr3sh being Fr3sh.

A debate in which an ignorant and unprepared man shouts nonsense over top of an intelligent and well-prepared woman. Back to the stone age. And now there are people arguing that Trump won the debate because he makes for better TV.

Trump in the debate praised police stop-and-frisk racial profiling; advocated colonialism and war crimes in the form of going to war to seize natural resources of other countries; claimed he was smart for evading paying taxes; claimed he took advantage of the country's laws so he didn't have to pay small business and contractors for work they did for him; claimed America needs massive infrastructure spending while also saying he would severely slash taxes on corporations and the rich.

Which is exactly why he did well. Trump does not represent rational people. He's there for the bigoted, obese dumbfuck who blames external factors for everything that is going wrong in his life. He looks at Trump and wants to believe him, because otherwise the sad reality is that he's a fuck up living in a trailer with no real future.

Trump is providing these people with all the excuses they want to hear. Of course they don't make sense. But they don't have to. Because it's what the people want.

And unfortunately this the current trend in the so called Western World.

"The sum of intelligence on the planet is a constant; the population is growing".

Implicit bias isn't a trade of the feebleminded only. Populism's success is founded on the ignorance of its opponents, not the ignorance of its supporters.

Especially seven's post is remarkably stupid. Could have been written by a hardcore Trumpist like Bjerknes, just change the narrative.

I don't think you even understood what I said. What Trump did and does is simply political strategy. Clinton, liberal media and even all of Europe think they can try to convince Trump supporters with facts, rationality and calm. But that's not what this is about. Trump isn't about facts. It's about a gut feeling. And you can't counter that with arguments.

Fwiw, I realised it might look biased. But you need only to look at Trump's recent gatherings and see the atmosphere.

But of course this probably isn't about an actual debate, rather it's about you wanting to spout pseudointellectual bullshit.

If the bolded were true, how did we arrive at a general consensus that same-sex marriages should be accepted? [in the Western World]

Gut feeling is just another word for decision-making based on experience. So if you wanna counter Trump you have to understand the experiences that those who vote for Trump have based their support on.

One of them is the gut feeling that the rust belt's traditional middle class workers are loosing out in the race of globalization.

Another is classic Marx of Bourgeoisie versus Proletarians. Too few have too much power; it creates apathy towards the establisment (ie. Clinton), where the gut says: rather Trump than "same old".

There's the fear of losing "White America". To some it looks like racism, but underneath there is a deep concern in regards to the society "my" forefathers build in 19th and 20th century.

And so the list continues. Washington and Bruxelles are the epitome of elitist societies not grasping the concern of the 'non-educated' classes. Juncker, Merkel, the two chambers of murica etc.

Same sex marriages is a very weird example. One could easily make a perfectly valid rational argument as to why he opposes them.

I agree with the rest of your post btw, but it doesn't really conflict with what I said before.

2 things, the gripe is with intellectual elites not the rich, otherwise how you explain voting for trump. 2, being anti Hillary and voting trump are 2 different things, you'd have to be a certified moron to do the latter.

 There definitely is a big group of voters who are simply deaf to arguments.
They wanna be lied too and willingly soak up wrong promises.

Post-truth politics, as Angie called it. (yes - I know Angie didn't invent it, but it was the last time i heard it)
